any suggestion on jigread weights? Fished a lake successfully with a 3//32 jig, but what would you use in a running creek or river? 3/16 would seem too light. Just started using this bait. Thanks
Nice cats … but that big of a fight for that size…. You must be really gentle when fishing … but that’s just me…. I pull in 10 lb carp faster than you pulled in the biggest cat…. When I was a kid out snagging carp… treble hook to the side…. That’s a fighting fish….
I just Stumbled across your RU-vid Channel, I'm super happy to see you're killing it dude! Hopefully a Class reunion will pop up sometime in the next few years, it'd be sick to hear about all your Adventures!
As a self taught very amateur fisherman I absolutely LOVE fly fishing creeks and lakes in western Washington. I sure need to make it happen more than a couple times every other year. Life is so hectic anymore and losing its charm! I need to go fishing. Used to go a couple times a week. Now it a couple times every few years. Good thing I'm getting younger!! Ha. Great video as always.
Those were some beautiful brookies! I grew up fishing small Rocky Mountain streams and it was great. Take your 2 or 3 weight fly rod, just walk up some random creek and fish for brookies or native cutthroats. You should try adding a dropper to your dry fly. Red or pink San Juan worm or a red Copper John. This will entice those fish that don't really want to rise to a dry fly!
You know I was wondering if you fly fish or not. Getting in those rapid flows are the best. I catch some huge brown in those waters. It’s the best fishing you can do in those waters. Also you can’t beat the scenery either.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 this was a different type of fishing video, still it was a great one to watch and I enjoyed every minute of it too. also a job well done at catching these fish on the fly rod there.
Great video! Thank you bec, I caught everything besides trout so far. 8 carp yesterday, 1 sucker, 1 tree branch but no trout so now I'll try this method!
