@@Snailchesster 50 times if u are looping the lower part of mt faber only, it's about 400m for an hour of looping. If you do the full loop will be 80m for 25 loops
It was the motorist’s fault, there were literally 3 lanes to choose from. It’s basic cycling etiquette to keep left on roads, and they were doing that. If you don’t know anything about cycling then don’t bother commenting.
Apology the subtitle and audio are desync towards the end of the video. It is all correct in the Insta360 Studio timeline, however desync after exporting regardless which setting I use. Is anyone facing the same problem? Please share thanks.
Hi, I am not from NPPC, if you are interested can check out my group JACC using the link below Want to join this Strava club? strava.app.link/EVCvDrlelKb
there are actually quite a number of cycling groups in Singapore, find one near your place via social media that does trips to Malaysia. My group JACC is in the east and you're welcome to join us too, else there is also a group CSG2MY that does trip to Msia regularly. Hope this helps :)
@@MrDumplingStew mountain bike will be hard to keep up in a road bike group. I'm sure there are mountain bike groups too, may be look around social media for like minded mtb group :)
Thanks Richmond for the showing your journey! I also stay in the East (Pasir Ris) so its nice to know cycling to Pontian from surise to sunset is doable
Hi hi, yes it is doable.. can cycle and clear custom at Woodland into JB, then ride up to Pontian and back about 185km for Punggol, so Pasir Ris should be around 200km which is still doable in a day
2.35 that video bomb girl think u single and interested in u lah and i know u accompany wife but don't u feel u like level 100 player running in level 20 zone killing monster meh?
I have a gopro mount under my garmin mount, I then use a short extension rod from the gopro mount pointed forward then mount my insta one rs.. it should work for x3 too
ps. One more thing, my wife is indonesian and i have been to Riau province and Batam cycling there......nothing serious just a regular BMX type bike. I just have to say, overseas is not SG, do we cannot use our local knowledge and apply there. That may sound super obvious to many, but there are really many things that we would not expect that can happen there simply coz we are just not exposed to the traffic conditions there unless the rider has been there many many times. If want to take the risk, really use as many safety precautions as you can. In your scenario, there wasn't even any other traffic which contributed due to distractions etc, just a lone motorcyclist who was probably plain daydreaming or his brain still in bed. My coy is 300+ manpower and many of which are Malaysians who commute from Johor to SG, some waking up as early as 4AM daily.
My guess is he probably finished his night shift in Singapore and returning home, probably tired and did not see me thats why. Yes safety precaution, helmet, insurance are all important. Stay safe and keep riding 😊✌🏻
Hi bro, thanks for sharing the vid and presenting a practical case study to the rest of us. Super lucky man....the accident could have ended worse if it happened farther down the straight road like a hundred metres more. Higher speeds between you and the motorbike and also for you, not good man. I think the turquoise bike is using a Cygolite Hypershot under his saddle? What rear lights were you using? I now operate 2pcs of Cygolite Hypershot 350s firing about 30 degrees to the left/right and a Magicshine RN120 + Wind & Moon 100 firing straight down the back. Helmet is a Moon Helix 450 for wider angle illum and on the way is the new Lezyne 400. After my own (small) accident 3 months ago and 6 stiches and just under $300 out of my pocket for 2 visits and Tdap shot coz company GP medical panel does not cover such things (sucks, i think they took the lowest cost plan), i don't take anything for granted nowadays. Just 2 weeks ago i saw a truck with banglas jamming brake with tyres locking up right before the pedestrian crossing as he did not see the pedestrian crossing with the green man lit until the very last moment, even though she was wearing white + carrying a pink umbrella. And one of my fellow pal is still nursing his broken collarbone with implant even though it's already been 5 months post accident. My take is this, don't really have to worry about dazzling other motorists in day time, just use full power on the Cygolites with narrowbeam hotspots and multiple wide angle day flashers. Of course that'd be an issue in group rides, but can always try to mitigate that with say 2 back markers who are crazily lit up like an Xmas tree. It's usually not those drivers who are dazzled by rear lights coz they have been looking into a Cygolite hypershot that present a safety problem. It's those who are *NOT* exactly dazzled by our lights coz they are not looking at our direction and are playing on their mobile phones or in another direction happily chatting with the rear passengers or something. My take is that you really need some serious horsepower to grab those fellas' attention. Either that or last minute type red light cheongsters (vehicle or grab food or even fellow cyclists) who are not looking out for you just moving away from the line.....i met one early yesterday morning, luckily i checked before i moved off and saw that fella, plus i also have some side firing lights. So seriously speaking, even chillax type pavement cycling is not risk free....and for that matter walking pedestrians too.
Benefit of doubt i think its early in the morning, he was probably still sleepy, somehow didnt notice me and hit me from the back. All good i have recovered and back riding again 🙂
Probably start with ur local bike shop if they organise any group ride, or find a local cycling group on social media like fb or ig. I hope that helps, then go from there as you make more friends.
Not sure if he is trying to overtake me last minute, he dont really need to because all 3 lane are clear. I just hope he learnt from this and not endanger anyone else.
