Born and raised in eastern Nebraska. Graduated from Millard High in 1966. I love the oldies and wish they were more readily available. My hope with this channel is to create an archive to educate ourselves and younger people in the music and culture of our times.
My channel is not R rated. Not even PG-13. I remove all comments that contain foul language or are hateful and if repeated I block the member. If you aren't sure what is OK just think broadcast TV in the 1950s and 60s - zero tolerance.
I was 17 when this came out. Great song. Very memorable. Unusual and quite sophisticated, considering the “bubble gum” pop around at the time. Just heard it on the radio just now and realised I knew most of the lyrics, which means I really liked it at the time.
It would have been nice if the partridge family had picked up another season to possibly see if Shirley or Ruben get married loved the show and the music and the chemistry with the stars❤😊
I met him in a concert in Orange county, California when he was 82(? ) with great health and mood. I was so impressed that he was so humorous, well mannered, loves his country, such a patriot gentleman🇺🇸. He is much earlier than my generation that I really hoped I could grow up in his era. He is a true American model with great long marriage, sweet family, no drug, scandals. We don’t see many celebrities like him now. 👍👍👍
I fell in love with the Paris Sisters in the 50s with I Love How You Love Me! I then was in a trio and was asked to sing! They influenced me along with The McGuire Sisters!
Several years ago, I came across a wedding rehearsal in a public park. They were using this song (sans lyrics)as the wedding march. It was all I could do to stop myself from interrupting and asking them if they were jinxing their marriage - had anyone listened to the words?
