I don't remember all of them. I gave all of them away a long time ago. The two big ones are. Green terror and carpintis, the orange one is a peacock chichlid. Dont remember what the others are. Sorry
I am a green terror fan right now. All those fishes looked good. I also liked that pearly looking fish and thanks for letting me know that it's name is Carpintis.
I have a xs power AGM under the hood and a xs power AGM battery in the trunk. I have most of the big 3 setup. I'm waiting to get a high output alternator before I complete the big 3. My alternator isn't acceptable without removing my intake manifold and other stuff. I've ran larger factory ground wire and a few extra other grounds. I'm still on 4 guage wire so I be upgrading to 0 guage also
@@Silentjustin06 Nice, checking it out now. I know that things must slam. I have just 2 old Alpine Type R 10s in my RSX and they hit way harder than they should on stock electric, so yours must be crazy. I have a Smart 3 in my TL also, wish I got the Big Boss or Smart Bass though, love those amps. The TL has a 135 amp stock alternator so I put more in it and I rarely drive the RSX anymore anyways. Someone offered me 15k for it 2 years ago and now I baby it lol.
@@SnubBarracuda it definitely gets down. I'll have to make a good demo video eventually. Yeah I think the shape inside the rsx makes it good for bass output or something lol. You got a TL also, one of my favorite cars also. The 2006 TL is my favorite. The rsx is going up in value lately. I'll send a link to a demo video when I post one. Good meeting you bro ✌
Lol well this system was sold like 4 months ago. I have a couple of new videos of the new system on my channel. They are videos I made to basically show my friend the nee system. I'll have to do a proper demo video eventually
🤣🤣 I made the video for my friend. He hasn't seen my new setup. So he asked me to make a video and post it on RU-vid. My bad, i didn't actually meant to keep it up.
Thanks, A place in Tampa Florida called (pirate customs audio). I made the video for a friend. He hasn't seen my new setup. I was going to delete the video.
Hi boss am plaing to get this amp i do have skar 12inch vxf 1500 rms at one ohm you think this amp will run it good no problem pls advise Am lookin for pioneer amp
Its complicated to be honest. Its alot of trial and error. Your water could be the problem. The amount of salt in the water. Not feeding them enough. It took me months of trying before I could keep high numbers of them living and reproducing.
I used spirulina powder soaked in some tank water in a cup. Mix it well and let it soak for a hour. Mix it again and add to the tank. Feed them as soon as they hatch.
I actually had an original Qbomb,IIt was a gift because dude had it in the back of his truck and I actual refurbished it like all the way, filled in all the gaps on the inside smoothend the inside and we'll two boss 12s from Wal-Mart is real. The box took more time because I used apoxy to fix the bi gaps on the outside and I feel like it was better than when it was nanufactured.I pretty much gave it to my Good friend Shamoo in NC because I moved to Idaho and you just can't bring a fkn 100 pound speaker box on a plane. You can trim it and finesse that box on the inside and it will hold some sundown I was gona put two W7 in it and a 15 inch sundown on top.Or two Moore W7s on the opposite side of the box,4XW7 QBOMB. CHOOOOOW!!!! WELL GOOD LUCK I'll be shopping for another one soon,Much respect to you.Ricky Billy Bobby
Man you went to town on refurbishing that box. I'm sure it improved it. Yeah I wouldn't recommend putting a massive subwoofer in these boxes. I think 1,200 rms per subwoofer is the max I'd recommend for this box. There isn't enough air space and I dont think it can support the weight of anything bigger. I recently sold this system for $450. Now I have a custom box with the ddx 12s and a taramps big boss 3k. It's a massive improvement. The big boss 3k is way better than the MD 3000.1 AMP. Thanks for the comment and watching the video.
@@Silentjustin06 thanks I'm building my own box and installing them in a Ford Explorer and eventually going back to add two more 15s I want a total of 415 ebls in the SUV
@@chrismeadows5948 hell yeah sounds dope man. 4 15s should slap. I actually sold this system. I have a custom built box for my 2 ddx 12s on a taramps big boss 3k. Hints the reason I said spend the extra money on the big boss 3k. I tried both amps on the same setup and the big boss 3k was substantially better than the MD 3000.1
Not sure what u mean by "what did I add to the water" I just put fresh salt water in the tank that I made a few days before the change. Yes, I feed them spurlina powder mix in some tank water. Its common for some to die with a big environment change
I just watched the video. That's spurlina powder mix with the tank water. I put the tank water in a cup. Stirring powder in it. Let it soak for a hour. Then pour it in the tank
Lol 😂 My mirror does the same with my side 10 inch SDR subs. It's absolutely tiring to keep adjusting it. Glad to know it's not the cars defective mirror. If you find a fix please post it.
@@ChefKe357 there is a screw but it's to mount the mirror to the roof. The bass is to much for it to stay in place. It's not that mount. it's just the swivel the mirror is on, isnt strong enough to stay in place.
Make sure you have the room for it. It's a huge box. I'd recommend a different subwoofer tho. This one is ok but I would get something with a bit more rms rating
@@Silentjustin06 turn the sub to face the boot will sound louder. I have a Protege Hatch back plenty of space, i just upgraded from 12s to 1x15 and it sounds nice, I hate punchy subs. I like that low deep sounding bass
Lol 8, 8 inch subwoofers. That's a lot of 8s. It depends on what the power rating of your 8s are tho. I'm guessing you have a truck with 8 8 inch subwoofers. I'd honestly would just do 2 15s or 12s if I was you or if it's even possible for your application
Ok so I have 3k MD and i beat my 15 inch mofos till they was smoking ( busted now ) what would you say would be perfect for this particular amp and how would you run it.. Asking before I dive right back in..
I'm running 2 hyanka 12s on this amp now. They are around $130 shipped if your looking for something cheap. The amp really push the hyanka to the max. It's actually broke my hatch release. I can't open the hatch anymore 😂. Gonna have to figure out what's wrong with it
Ok so I have 3k MD and i beat my 15 inch mofos till they was smoking ( busted now ) what would you say would be perfect for this particular amp and how would you run it.. Asking before I dive right back in..
Well it depends if you have the 3k md 3000.1 1ohm or the 2ohm amp. Secondly the power acoustic mofos are not rated properly the rms they claim isn't correct. Power acoustic subs and amps are over rated. So not surprised you smoked them. If you want to go the cheaper way. The Hyanka's can handle the md 3k with no problems. If you want to spend the extra money. Get the skar ddx subwoofers. I have both. The the skar ddx subs definitely handle that amp better and sound better and produce more bass. If you have the md 3k 1ohm amp. Buy 2) 4 ohm skar ddx and wire them in parallel for a final 1 ohm load on the amp. If you you have the md 3k 2ohm amp. Get 2) 2ohm skar ddx and wire the in series/ Parallel for a final 2ohm load on the amp. If you can afford the ddx subwoofers I would definitely go with them. The Hyanka perform really well to tho. American bass also has subwoofers that can handle that amp around the same price range as the skar ddx subwoofers. I would definitely look into what amount of air space your box has and what its tunef at. the recommended air space and tuning of the box needs to match whatever subs you decide to buy as close as possible to get them best performance. Hit me up if u have and more questions
@@imfrom210texasI almost guarantee he was clipping them. It's easy to do if you don't have a clip light monitor on the dash. I watch mine everytime the song changes. Mine will clip Depending on the song. I have my amp right at the edge of clipping also. Set with the 40hz test tone
Ok I titled the video wrong. The Hyanka and the DDX 12s was wire to 2ohms. I thought the Hyanka was @4ohms. So the Hyanka can handle the Taramps MD 3000.1 2ohm with no problems. I have the clipping meter and push them Hyanka 12s hard. They haven't smelled and really don't get hot that often. The skar ddx do get down a little bit harder tho
Maybe with 600w rms being put to it but with my Pioneer GM-D9701 1,200 rms amp. It gets pretty unhappy pretty quickly. I was testing a song that had a 15hz bass track. It would putout some surprisingly good flex but would start to smell in under a minute. I blew 2 of them experimenting with their limits. I bought a 3rd and hurt it also trying to push the limits on more power than it's rated. It's a home theater bed room subwoofer now. 2 of these on a 1,200 rms amp in something like a suv would get down for a budget setup. I ran 1 on 1,200 rms for a year with no problems. It's only when I went for the very low notes that I started blowing them
The DDX are the better subs but for the price the Hyanka get down for sure. Especially since I didn't realize the the hyanka's was wire to a 4ohm load compared to the DDX being wired to a 2ohm load on the amp. The Hyanka performed very close to the DDX @ a higher ohm with less watts.
I was actually wrong about the hyanka's being wired to 4ohm. For some reason I thought it was but after taking the subwoofer out and looking at the wires. The hyanka's and the ddx 12s are both wired to 2 ohm
This is a base model. It doesn't have vtec but there is a definite kick of extra power @ 4,800 rpm. MODES ARE: 2.5 inch custom exh⁶aust Custom 3 inch sort ram air intake Skunk2 intake manifold Skunk2 70mm throttle body Rev limiter set to 7,800 Dyno Tuned on 93 octane with ktuner.
@SilentJustin06- I am a new subscriber, so i can't tell by this description, if you are saying this taramps is a 2 ohm model, or are you saying all of these subwoofers tested, are wired @ a 2 ohm load? Hopefully to make this comparison more fair, that both brands of woofers tested, were wired to the same impedance? That being said, are you aware of impedance rise while playing music? Your comment in this description, saying that this model of taramps amplifier dynos 3,250 watts, @ 12.6 volts(@ what ohm load?), leads me to believe that you think these woofers are actually getting 3k? I know you are just trying to compare the sound, vs budget, vs performance/value of these subwoofers in your opinion, but to say they handle 3k, is prob. not accurate, without a way to prove/test the actual power, and @ what impedance this is occurring @. Not trying to be negative, i just like factual data, along with your opinion about how they sound, like is 1 subwoofer more punchy, and the other one smoother= less hit/slap, that can get fatiguing, esp. If you have a headache. Is 1 better @ the 50hz to 60Hz range, vs 1 better at the 20Hz to 30Hz range, things like that. I hope you don't take what i am saying as a negative? Just some ideas, that can hopefully help out? Thank you for taking your time to make this video. Hope you all have a great Happy Thanksgiving🎉
Bro thanks for the subscribe. I appreciate it very much. As for your comment. It's gonna take me a while to answer everything. You went hard with a huge comment that I'm gonna have to do in multiple replies. I'll do my best to answer everything you said.
You actually made me realize something. I accidentally purchased the wrong subwoofers. the title is wrong and I'm going to correct it. Instead of purchasing 2) 2ohm dvc. I ordered 2) 4ohm dvc subwoofers
I pulled a subwoofer out to see how it's wired. I have them wired in series so it's at a 4ohm impedance on the amplifierimages.crutchfieldonline.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2DVC_4-ohm_mono.jpg
Yes I know all the shake and flex isn't as important as how they sound. Most people are more interested in how much power they can handle and how much air they can move more the sound quality. They sound pretty good for a budget subwoofer. This video was intended to show that they are a good alternative to the skar DDX 12S. They are like $50 cheaper than the DDX and similar in sound quality and output. I believe I put I link in the description to my DDX 12s playing the same song. So people can compare the 2 subwoofers
@@Silentjustin06 i remember back in the day my neighbor would have me come over to listen to his subs in the back of this car and he'd shake the trunk. i remember thinking wow now its like ahh lol i have 6x9s that can vibrate my rear view lol
@@MaximumDestruction80 nice story bro! 6x9 that shake your rear mirror. That's pretty good. Keep being a hater and have a good Thanksgiving. Have a bless day
Sounds dope! I have a pioneer 7 inch headunit with the (pioneer GM-D9705) 5 channel amp powered by a 12v 50 amp power supply thats rated for 600w on the skar sdr18 sub and box combo. My highs are 2 10 inch midrange with horns in a CHERO BOX. That's setup on my headboard of my bed. Then I have a Bluetooth amplifier that puts out 200w to a 8 inch skar subwoofer and 50w 2 ds18 6.5 inch 2 way speakers with some cheap tweeters in a small CHERO BOX setup on my TV stand. I connect both to Bluetooth at the same time and it sounds amazing. I get music from behind me and in front of me and it absolutely slams.
