Do you suffer from chronic pain in your lower back, foot, ankle, hip, shoulder, or knee? Have you lived with your pain so long that you call it by it's given name? (Cuboid Syndrome, Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction, Peroneal Tendonitis, Plantar Fasciitis, Hypomobility Syndrome, etc.) If you answered YES to any of these questions, then consider these manual physical therapy videos "Must See PT".
I am Jerry Hesch, MHS, PT, DPT(s) and I created the Hesch Method of Manual Therapy, which is a brief treatment that focuses on accomplishing goals over a short period of time, generally 3 visits. Joint dysfunction can generally be resolved within this time frame. For any recurring dysfunction, the client is taught self correction, hence limiting client dependence and economic burden. Patients who are not having success in resolving musculoskeletal and nerve pain through traditional methods, are encouraged to explore these physical therapy videos.
Ive spent 10 years with this injury. Doctos and PT and chiros all say the same bs and never listen to my actual symptoms. This is the only time i have ever heaed anyone talk about this.
can SI joint cause leg/feet numbness like the l5-s1? Also can it affect the hamstring (my calfs and hamstrings get really tight then in the lumbar area and I can hardly walk thru the store or stand more than 10 min). No treatments for the spine have helped (including steroid injections and surgeons say I am not a candidate for surgery but no one can answer why symptoms severe. even mild-moderate stenosis (have) do not make sense to why I cannot walk/stand) no ne checked S1 joint. what do you think?
Karen, there is much marketing for SIJ fusions which states yes lumping everything together. I have treated SIJD since 1981 and developed the most detailed eval and rx method method for non surgical approach. In my experience, NO. Have you had pelvic MRI? If you would like a consult see the Patient section of hesch institute website. I trust you had a recent lumbar MRI?
She did very well for many years but a year ago had a reinjury which was very distressing. She came back and responded very well. Her second injury was different from the first one so her efforts at self treatment via the things I taught her failed her. Somewhere on my phone have a video conclusion of her second injury, I have little time and energy to post video.
Sir, can you tell me the solution actually I have also suffering from tail bone pain since 5 year and my Dr. Didn't tell me the solution. My coccyx bone is take a shape just like hook and slightly bent towards the left side.
@@bros_gamers I will release a coccyx course on the Hesch Institute website by or before August 15. Perhaps you can find a clinician with good hands-on skills to study it.
This was the best advice for my cuboid troubles. I have my heal taped up cause of ankle pain upon waking. I tried this technique and I think I have full use of my foot again. I will keep doing this. Much appreciated ❤
It depends on a thorough whole-body evaluation. I test and treat micromotion defects throughout the body. I occasionally use heel lifts and ischial lifts if the pelvis grew uneven the person will be uncomfortable while sitting.
None that i know of. I would love to come teach. My mother was Dorsey/O’Darcy her great grandparent from County Cork(?). You can communicate via email and if you send a request i will keep it on file. Email: info@heschinstitute.com
@@JerryHeschInstitute Im from Cork myself nice to know you have a bit of the Irish heritage in your lineage , thank you for the reply Jerry . Ill do that .
Hi, I was suffering from the plantar fasciitis for about 4 years which happened because of the intense badminton I used to play. I consulted a physiotherapist and went through various treatments he used to give like russian, tense, waxing, IR treatments etc and many exercises. This helped me a lot and the main points of pain due to PF are gone. However, I am still suffering from the outside foot pain probably due to 5th metatarsal injuries. There are two points in the 5th metatarsals which are the centre of the pain, and the pain is not going. This is a really serious problem. I wear archfit slippers and shoes as per the recommendations of the doctor. It is very difficult for me to stand for long time even after wearing the archfit footwears. My X-ray and MRI reports are completely normal. One place of pain is just before the cuboid in the bottom, and second point of pain is after the 5th metatarsal bone. Could you suggest something?
@@JerryHeschInstitute As per your suggestion, I went to a physiotherapist who combines mechanical and manual way of treating patients. His clinic is in Varanasi, India. The name of his clinic is: Physio Manual -Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Manual Therapy, Rehabilitation Centre. I will ask him today and let you know!
Jerry, you are to physiotherapy what Tesla was to energy. You are a grossly under recognised game changer. There must be some way of making your work standard practice throughout the globe. The only pain I have now is in my sore glutes where I've been gently strengthening them. Bless you and your lovely family.
@@jerryheschsr you're more than welcome. I'm just so glad youtube finally threw you my way. I'm not a pt but I studied your videos over 4 weeks, narrowed down the possibilities and (dangerously) self diagnosed. It was the only option I had short of flying over to Denver. I had seen a spine surgeon and a hip surgeon who both shrugged and said "wear and tear. Nothing I can do". A saw pain consultant who did a diagnostic injection followed by a nerve ablation. He at least warned me off fusion. Finally an Oesteopath who swore blind the joint could not slide out of alignment. What a journey! Wish I'd found you earlier.
Bingo. I did this. The relief was immediate. 8 months of my left pelvic notch resting on my sciatic nerve is ending. I can't thank you enough. Thank you for sharing this information, Jerry. You are a God send ❤
My penis feels like there is a clothes pin on the tip and feeling of plastic wrap pulling between nutsack and butthole. Wondering what to do. Seeing Primary Care Doctor in 2 weeks.
That makes perfect sense and explains why I can sit on a toilet with no pain but not sit on an ordinary chair or seat of any kind without pain. So I'm off up the garden now to get my kneel pad and try it out. Thank you x
I am confused! There are lot of information in youtube about how to heal or relief SI joint pain , please help me to provide one or two effective exercise to relief SI joint pain. Thank you doctor.
This was amazing i have chronic pelvic pain in addition to a left leg that is weak i had a motorcycle accident and i have done pelvic PT physical therapy and seen 11 specialists and im a medical science liason and i thought this was an amazing presentation i had never thought that stretching or using the appropriate amount of pressure to help for longer than even 1 minute would help let alone 5 minutes thank you for this excellent presentation
If you have SI ligamentopathy and tendinopathy in the groin, glutes, hip, and even hamstring and thigh on one side, would you still recommend your findings? What about shockwave or cold laser therapy to target the SI, the disc, and the various tendinopathy points while going to PT for SI dysfunction? Do you have anyone in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, or anywhere in the northeast area you would recommend?
I have hEDS and very severe sacrum pain. It’s ruined my life. I’ve been bedridden for 11 years and on fentanyl, dilauded, and tramadol along with many more meds. I can’t sit for more than 20 minutes tops. I get very little sleep due to pain . I need to look into this but I’m in New York and can’t travel.
My pelvic is so out of alignment I can’t walk in flat shoes b/c my one leg is longer, I trip. But when I wear heals my longer leg will swing out not straight. Like this patient, I have herniated discs. My pain on my left side gets so bad I’ll literally collapse. It just gives out. When I drive/ sit I always use a tennis ball to push on. I’ve been to a chiro and they adjust me and it returns to the incorrect position within mins. Also, I can’t lay on my stomach on a flat surface, every time my rip will slip out of place, it’s the most painful thing. I wish you were in NY you’re very knowledgeable.
I hope he does a video on ankylosing spondylitis because fuse joints can be very painful and made worse by some treatments. People should be made aware of that.
here is a very good one, but you do raise a good point as an important thing to do is to make sure that hip extension is maintained in that population. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1GEuXDShhTI.html
I put a 5mm lift under my right sit-bone for the first time today which felt good/helpful but the muscle to the right of my upper spine got really sore/fatigued. Wondering if I just need to start slower @jerry? I do have hEDS so possibly I can't directly apply the advice in this video to myself. Sitting has always been difficult for me so was/am pretty excited about this simple fix. Thanks.
I so wish I could find a sacrum specialist! Wondering if you know of one in Washington? I live across the sound from Seattle. I so need some one! Pain for 7 years….constant!
