honestly, I am not sure how to answer it, I am beginer to.. U can learn by read or watch writeup, liveoverflow and john hammond is good place to start, they have very good (and fun) explanation, watching their content will not make u get bored (I tried to on some of my writeup) about the tools, every challange have their own tools to solve, but for me mostly use gchq.github.io/CyberChef/ good at all is great, but specialize in specific categories not so bad, just keep learn and stay have fun.

I just solve 4 challange, and the other is sanity check and discord which is I never post that kind of challange
