Tech is life. You need it. You breathe it. There’s also a lot of it out there. That’s why you are here, to get tech tips and product reviews a little bit at a time. I live and work in Doha, Qatar and that makes nerding out on tech a bit different than what it was in America. Come along for the ride as I discover what makes Qatar’s tech world tick and how you can get the most bang for your buck in this country. Thanks for checking out the channel!
I have one of these and it is terrible. The mixed reality camera image is really poor like worse than webcam in 2006. The internal speakers are dreadful with very limited dynamic range and absolutely no loudness. The vent on top of the headset is so big that when you tip your head forward the tracking from the rear light stations is temporarily lost. The virtual desktop that is used in mixed reality is bleached out with no ability for the contrast to be adjusted. The camera function keeps falling down every other time you load up. Steam VR struggles to connect with the headset. The gasket inside the headset spills light. I had to turn my RAM clockspeed down from 6200 Mhz to 5600Mhz to try to stop the USB C 3.2 from falling down. It is still intermittent. Not worth 4K and whilst the image quality is good it's not amazing. I like the auto calibration but I find the touch bar on the side is a gimmick. Buttons would be better and much more functional. I don't think the cameras utilise 3 chip CCD tech.
Brand new install, i9-14900KF, Asus Maximus z790 Dark Hero, and 3 kits of DDR5 wouldn't even go to bios. Stuck on error 55. Your settings got me to bios, but then I was met with "Recovery" light blue screen, and another time a windows Blue Screen TPM.sys error. XMP voltage is 1.35, so I bumped up to 1.40000. Any thoughts? This is the worse PC building experience in over 30 years.
ah, yes. budget. jokes aside, you deserve millions of subscribers, this amount of subscribers for this quality of videos shouldn't be normal. keep up the good work mate!
This is my end-game sim racing setup, I chose the Moza R5 Bundle, Next Level Racing(the one on the video) & still deciding if I need a shifter and handbrake. I will buy the Moza R5 Bundle at the end of this year, and then I will get the NLR Cockpit next year. Never tried Sim Racing, Don't know if I will like it, but I have always enjoyed using the Arrows and Space keys to Race since I was a little kid.
Interesting. I was stuck trying to add 2 more 16GB 5600mhz sticks and my keyboard, monitor and mouse wouldnt connect. That was with XMP on or off. I'll try to downclock it to 4800mhz and if not 3600mhz
let me guess you didn't hear anything from them agian but the c12 paddles just showed up at your house nothing saying they were shipped nothing i had problems with everything i bought from them or the replaced an had problems with the replacements as well
So many questions after watching the video, but I wanted to bring up that I know people say battery headstraps might be uncomfortable to use but I have no problem resting my head on a chair on a plane while using the Quest 3 to watch movies. Also, the Aubika battery headstrap that I own was allowed on the plane so I didn't have to worry about longer battery life and airline restrictions there. However, the things I WANT to see someone demonstrate on a plane is using BigScreen VR and hosting a room so that friends/family that could be sitting in different seats on the plane can still watch movies/shows/content WITH YOU and TALK LIKE THEY'RE SITTING NEXT TO YOU (because BigScreen VR allows push to talk functions so you can talk to the other people in the theater with you) during the flight. Also, if you pay for the premium internet package on the flight, maybe you can have someone back home host a theater and then you wouldn't have to host from the plane. Then you can join the theater with them and talk to them throughout the flight or watch the movie with them during the flight.....lol, like I said, I have so many questions but I'm still waiting for someone to attempt this and demonstrate how it's done or how the experience was. Regardless, video gets a thumbs up from me for being able to continue watching your movie from the bathroom, lmao.
Thanks for the review. I am on an 16 hour flight from LA to Singapore soon and was curious if this would work. Hoping for good things. Luckily I am in business and a solo seat so I won’t disturb any neighbors. I’ll let you know how it goes. Also, if you can afford the quest 3 you can afford the $10 for skybox. 😅
yeah we gotta talk about how awesome it is that you pushed your design revisions towards them yourself, i've noticed many 3d printers will just leave the files there for the people who just happen to have the printer for it, kudos to you, subbing!
For that money I would invest in Force Feedback controls. Does all that Puma X does but a a whole lot more. Full control over Damping, Friction and inertia.
I'm Sure you will master this. From a few videos of MSFS on Helicopters I've seen say it is had to setup controls for it. Some say the sim doesn't do Helicopters very good. I DO NOT KNOW if it is true. I only fly in a competitors Combat Sim so I'm sure You know way more then I do about all things with MSFS. My other SIN is I only fly in VR because my BRAIN loves the 3D Depth Perception It can not get from flatscreen. Flying a helicopter is kind of like balancing a ball on your finger tip but your inside the ball flying it at the same time. If you Crash it with NO damage it is OKAY it means you just landed it like a normal pilot would. Best of Luck Try the Huey small helicopters are squirrely and harder to fly for a starter ship. Very small VERY SMALL as in V.E.R.Y. Small Slow input in the cyclic is needed. VERY SLOW Collective input to see if the ship starts to spin right or left so you know before lift off what rotor peddle Port or Starboard side you will need to give and how much. Then very small amount more Collective to see if the nose tilts up = back Aft movement or down = forward movement right at the second lift is achieved. This way you know if your Cyclic stick is to far forward or to far aft. You need to Hover no forward or Aft movement on takeoffs Learn to Hover First 5 to 7 feet off the ground. I would like to Try this System out it just looks so Cool to use. Thanks for the Awesome Video Share.
Look cool but I am already using a Next Level Pro Flight , and have Thrustmaster TPR and Winwing Orion 2 , I would be interested in juts the Collective and specially with that moving arm it has look solid too but must say the way you are seated now , its far for ideal but yeah cool product :)
My X4 steam edition has USB-C connection problems in a loop so what you describe I first thought of the cable but good service from varjo immediately sent a new one to me the problem is not solved . Formatting the PC and reinstalling and still the same problem have you been able to solve this problem then ?? I reported this and I send it back to Varjo and they check it I have to admit that it is a very good headset for me and hope for a fix
I know what you feel mine is ready to send let us hope that they fix it and that it is of better quality I am a bit afraid of when it does not work again at the moment the people of Varjo have given good suport
Thank you for this. I had 4x48gb ddr5 ram and all of the sudden i was getting bsod after bootup and when I ram memtest I had 14000 errors. I knew my ram of a few months didnt die all of the sudden so I tested each one individually. No errors. Put all four in and I was still getting a few errors and bsod every once in a while. I changed this setting and bumped my voltage up from 1.1 and ran memtest for several passes with all four sticks with 0 errors.
I'm actually glad that this Wheelbase is actually pretty easy to Fix and Cammus is actually willing to send you the actual replacement parts to fix the Issue. I don't have problems on opening up any device i have i am Technician after all but I'm also aware that a Brand New product could fail more often specially if they are the first units on the production line. I'm always have been cautious on Brand New Products, I almost every time tent to wait until certain time for the New product to settle so the mayor problems just disappear over the time.
Had no issues until today and spent all day troubleshooting it to boot properly. The BIOS sees 64GB of ram but once it tries to boot up to windows it shuts down. I changed the CMOS battery and removed memory sticks for 5 min. and still an issue. The only way I can get it to work is by installing 1 memory stick and it will boot to windows. Once I add another stick it won’t power up. I’m fed up troubleshooting this all day.
Thank you Sir! was able to get my speed from 4000 to 5600 because of this troubleshooting video and if this helps anyone else make sure you check your manual for which slots you should use for a dual ram setup that was my main issue and after realizing that this video fixed the rest
