Subs need a more rigid structure and the seat delete flexes so wouldn't hold. We've made custom deletes for customers that had sub boxes right behind the seat delete and we cut holes out of the seat delete to reveal the subs.
Will the aluminum hold on the plastic stock diffuser? I just got mine the other day for my 2015 mustang and tried to install it and couldn’t figure out where to put the two outer screws on the main diffuser but after watching this video seems like you just screw them in
Hey "EvansMotorsportPerformance" In your channel have many problems, That's why your channel is not much growing, If you can solve these problems, your channel will grow like a storm. To solve, first you have to know these problems also, If you give me permission I can tell these problems, Where you want to know? here or in email? Email??
Which did you go with? I’m kinda looking around for something but mine is still stock height but I’m glad they made it to fit the active exhaust as I’ve seen some that are for the single tip and it does t look right on quad tips.
@@EMP-Parts Thank you for that…I didn’t know how it could be different considering I have the diffuser already. The one issue I have though is the two center long screws supplied are 7mm but my screws I have on my car are 10mm. How will I be able to secure the diffuser to my valance with a 10mm hole and a 7mm screw?
We supply #8 screws for the stock screw holes and the inside star washers to screw down on those screws so it secures them in place. Did you see the other video on how to install those inside star washers? It’s on the S550 diffuser webpages on our website under the main install video. Every car we’ve installed on had 7mm (size of screw head) screws so not sure why you had to use a 10mm socket to remove yours. If you bought it used maybe those were put in by the previous owner. Also, in the video mentioned above for the washers, there are also screw locks. Do you have a newer diffuser with the screw locks included? Those will secure your diffuser really well
I would like to order some of these for my diffuser, but I can’t find them on your website. Can you point me in the right direction to how I would order them? Thanks!
HDPE versions of the rear diffuser only require 6. If you have the aluminum version, please contact us at info@emp.parts and we’ll send you 6 more at no charge
Thank you for the video. I could have not done it without the video. Wish it had audio though. To Joseph Dixon's point the tiny clips were a bitch to get off. Maybe because they have never been disconnected before.... And that my nubs are big and the clips are tiny. Thanks again.
Not the easiest thing to do, removing the connections. In fear of destroying something I backed off and will have someone more knowledgeable do it or the dealership. 🤷🏽
@@EMP-Parts trust and believe not trying to spend money having someone else do it. I’ve pushed the red tab down and then tried to wiggle but nothing. Couldn’t tell if there’s another push-in that needs to be done. Your hand kinda blocked that part, but I’m open to tips to disconnect it. Thanks!
@@josephdixon507 There's a black tab under the red lock part that you push in after unlocked then you can pull apart. Gotta wiggle it a little. Then there's a hook under the connection clipped to the strut tower you push back then push the connection downwards to remove. Be sure to only pull on the plastic connectors and not the wires.
@@EMP-Parts thanks!! We’ll see if we can make that happen. Connectors didn’t use to be so difficult. *Success* - we got it done though we couldn’t get the connector that’s attached to the tower frame to slide up Fortunately we were able to push the tree out and then take the connector apart and get it through the plate. It’s all good! Six one way, half a dozen another. Appreciate the assist!
@@remyvog A little quieter with the carpeted version (exhaust noise). No rattles from either one - we have more bolts that hold the bottom down than others do so the deletes don’t flap and shake
Thanks! Don't have any pics of the carpeted version installed but the carpet looks very similar to the material already in the back of the Mustang. Install is exactly the same as it is just carpet over the same seat delete kit.
@@aidan8424 Awesome! We have more mounting points than the competition which give us that high weight holding and keeps it from flapping when going over bumps.
