I’ll use this any day instead of the pennel rig. The idea here is to add floatation and correctly baiting up a circle hook while being able to clip a sinker to add extra distance when casting. Works like a charm.
Nice video, what set up are you using? Can you fish there with a light 10 foot rod? Or do you need atleast a 12 foot? I see you casting towards the kelp beds.
Thanks you can fish a 10 foot setup but I prefer the 12 foot. Gives you that extra few meters if you need to put in a longer cast and the longer rod also help to bring the fish over kelp.
Just for catch and release of course, I'm going to struisbaai soon was just looking at having a bit of fun but I'm not familiar with the fish in the region
I’d use the regular baits like chokka, sardine, white mussel and prawn. I doubt you’ll get Santer in Struis. Plenty of blacktail and other reef dwellers around
Awesome, here in Australia they are not readily available, anyone can make one of those. What is the best foam to use and what foam is that you have there.
