Exploring Charlotte Harbor above and below the waterline. Charlotte Harbor is the most pristine and undeveloped harbor in the country. Email me @ Brian@paradisedetailing.com
Beautiful boat. Out of ignorance I ask, why did he tap and show certified master U.S Navy? Is he retired from the Navy? Or is it a certification like the coast guard gives boats?
My son’s pb red, my pb snook and my fiancés pb snook were all caught there. It’s one of my favorite spots when I had my boat. I’ve been wanting to make the trip in my kayak soon! Great video!
Isn’t CharlotteHarbor a part of the Aquatic Reserve? Charlotte County does not permit spearfishing I was told, otherwise I would love to go do this myself. Thanks,
From what I understand, it was illegal about a decade ago, but not anymore from what I read on FWC you’re not allowed spearfishing near any bridges or structures that the public can fish from but do your own research. Thanks for watching.
If he thinks everything onboard is made in the USA, he is completely wrong. We can't even make everything in the F-35 in the US, how the holy hell would a pleasure craft be any different?
No I don’t even want to think about it lol. My buddy saw a 12 footer in bulk bay. Rare but it happens. Mostly in the rainy season though and im out of the water now that’s it’s too hot.
He was quite a guy I just wish I would’ve had a GoPro around to get more of him fishing. At least I got to get my first video with him one of these days. I’ll get back in the woods and show everybody a white mangrove tree.
Awesome!!! That 3 story railroad truss building is what we used to climb up on and jump off of into the intercoastal there and swim when i was in high-school!!! I haven't seen that in over 30yrs!! Thank you for posting these! I get to see old stomping grounds i dont get to anymore!
@@CharlotteHarborFisherman when trains went to the island that was the old tenders house to keep the intercoastal open for boats into and out of the harbor. There used to be a swing (carousel) bridge that could pivot out of the way or close and connect the track so trains could supply the island. It's been removed now. If I can find them, I have a few old books that show Charlotte Harbor and it's history. Kings Hwy was an old cattle trail thar was used to move beef straight down from Arcadia onto paddle boats before, during and after the Civil War. Long before Texas was ever know for cattle (which all came from Mexico) Florida was the king of Beef to America until around the 1880's.
I have lived on Pine island for almost 8 years now, I have kept a house in Indiana for multiple reasons, but I have a pair of really good waders there, they will be here in 3 days lol #inspired
Great video and I just found your channel. I’m now a wade fisherman in the Ft. Myers area since moving here from KY and bass fishing from a boat for years. Like you I fish the Lil John a ton. What jig head and size do you like in these shallow areas? Also I’ve been wading wet with beach boots but have considered waders. Do you wear the waders even during hot weather? Also may I ask what rod and reel setup your using? I’m experimenting looking for the right length and weight rod for wading these types of areas. Fluoro leader I’m assuming? Thanks
Once it gets real hot, I stop wading for a few months. Or hit the beaches for snook. So no waders. I’m using 20 of flouro but once I run out of it, I’m switching to 20 and 30 pound mono. I hear it actually is better and it’s a lot cheaper. I’ll use three jig head sizes 1/8th 16th and a quarter ounce depending on the depth and how much grass I’m getting stuck in. I’m using a 2500 pen with a 7 1/2 bull bay rod. 10 lb braid. I was going to elaborate on my last video how much I like waiters over wet waiting, but the video is getting too long. I got an infection in my toenail from wading so I switched to waders. I feel a lot more protected with waiters. First of all I stay dry second of all no jellyfish tentacles stinging me no leeches no mud in my toes no bacteria on my skin or potential cut I may have. And it gives me a little bit more protection from a possible stingray or even a little nip from a shark, although I never anticipate that to happen. The only drawback is yes you’re going to be warmer when you’re wearing waiters and like I said starting about now through September, I won’t do as much waiting unless it’s along the beach.
@@CharlotteHarborFisherman Great info and thanks. On a funny note our setups are almost identical. 2500 Shimano, 7’ and 7’6” rods, and same size jigs. Likewise I’m spending more time now on the beach but really like those oyster flat areas like you were fishing. As a totally land based angler now I don’t have the access I would if I still owned a boat and am somewhat new to the area but am learning more all of the time. Have a great one. Good fishing. And thanks for your insight. Oh and on the mono/ fluoro decision I’ve used both and although I haven’t caught as many fish as you and other anglers who’ve fished here for years, I can’t tell a definitive difference but wanted to ask in case I’m missing something.
@@AlanJohnsonSunbird a kayak can get you on the flats as well. There’s a launch on 19th street in boca grande. Also flats in pg down past burnt store marina. Those you can walk to
Only when I see them lol. I try not to think about it. I also stay close to the trees and fairly shallow. We are using it for bait or did he just crush it in a school? How big a shark? I don’t wait as much now that it’s summertime when all the big southern stingrays and the sharks are much more active.
The blood is a light blue. They use it to test batches of vaccines for bacterias They drain a quarter of the blood and release them afterwards. Sadly some do die through the process. The scientists are trying to cone up with a synthetic blood so we can stop this practice. It is one of the most docile animals ever. I just love them.
if your in the port charlotte area i reccomend you go fishing at live oak point, which is right before the punta gorta bridge, the jacks snook redfish and black drum have been all over the place i like to find a little beach spot and then wade out, theres also a bunch of abandon peirs which are loaded with fish if you can wade out to them
@@norcon11 i was casting along those docks that were closed off and they were full of bait fish and snapper snook redfish and jacks, i was using a doa cal 3 inch
@@Simpleman88 I love Charlie Kirk he's a political guy and just yesterday he said he basically worked for free for 5 years to build turning point USA. I said to myself I will do the same if I have to and now you just said that about KW so I'll take it as confirmation. BTW just after an embarrassing moment where a sub thankfully called me out for using a bait wrong the next day 2 tackle companies emailed about possibly working with me. One vid at a time ill make something of myself lol
So on my two-year-old 90 hp Evinrude ETEC❤️🔥 I EVERY TIME I start the motor I wanna make sure it’s pumping and with that telltale stream come straight out behind the motor. You have to walk back in the boat to see it so what I did as I bought One 8th inch threaded fitting and in that I put a piece of copper tubing that was 2 inches long and I bent it and 90° so I have it pissing water six or 8 feet out to the right or left side of my boat whatever side I wanted it on, so not only can I see it easily I can hear it hitting the water so I know it’s pumping anyway just my thought! Set my mind at ease every time I start the motor I KNOW IT’S PUMPING❤️🔥
I figured it would be better to just market them separately. I’m going to start adding more fishing boat videos to my fishing channel though. I might start yacht brokering with my boating channel. Seems like it’s two totally different groups. I’m getting a ton of subscribers coming from my boat videos on my fishing channel, but they don’t stick around and watch the fishing videos so I figured I’d make a separate channel.
@@CharlotteHarborFisherman i live in northport i have a 20 foot seafox i just purchased that has some decals i dont want on the hull anymore what do you think would cost to remove on one side and buff the glue and lettering away ?
