Simpleflips has said a lot of things where I'd initially disagree and then agree with because of valid points. I get where he is coming from by saying there is no "greatest game of all time" but then he goes on to basically call OoT meh and not that influential which is probably the worst take I've heard him have and the worst in the gaming community. Considering the lasting power of OoT and given the fact that he himself plays randomizers of it, that's just an objectively foolish thing to say. The gameplay holds up, the story is timeless, the music is incredible, etc. That's just an ignorant thing to say, I'm guessing it's fueled by nostalgia because he didn't trult experience how revilitionary it truly was when it was released. And again, people to this day play randomizers of it, speedrun it, hold it in extremely high regards, and look for new ways to make it exciting(multiworlds/multiplayer/etc)
The first mod isn't mario levels reimagined in any way.. They just straight up new levels entirely in a complete standalone rom hack. When levels are reimagined, they are the same levels, that you can recognize, with new and different aspects to them. Modder needs to RE-name his hack so nobodys tricked when they download it
Who is that blue Mario in the romhack Whiterock Peak? I doubt it's SMG4 for T W O reasons. 1. The hair and moustache is cyan colored for some reason if it would be SMG4. 2. The cap got a number 9 which feels it could be Cirno from Touhou then for me.
I'm the creator and can confirm that it's not a SMG4 reference. I had heard the name before but knew basically nothing about it. Though when I saw people mentioning it in chat, I googled it and could definitely see why people thought so LMAO. It was just to make Mario kinda Cirno looking. I considered making a custom Cirno model entirely but decided to stick with a Mario recolor.
I said this before,But since i have no way of accessing Twitch,RU-vid VODs are my only way of watching these streams,So thank you,Whoever is now in charge of uploading them here
the first group seemed very hard to communicate with, it's really no surprise simple had trouble understanding stuff. lime seemed a lot more accommodating for someone still learning the game.
Is there hope for the vods before this to eventually be uploaded? I remember Simpleflips playing some ROM Hacks (probably for the previous comp) and also plenty of Lethal Company that hasn't been uploaded?
