I find american speakers in spiritual discussions very annoying since they seem arrogant and ignorant in their speech - always taking long pauses, too much ruminating, like the stage belongs to them entirely and they can take as much time as they want. Just articulate your questions beforehand so that others can ask their questions. Also his question was pretty generic - of course life is "precious and temporary" - blah blah blah.. Ask something edgy or depthful.
i naturally grew up this way, coz i was poor, had to live on the streets, and soon i realised, i shudnt care abt what any1 thinks, not a sob story, but just sharing :)

This is total horseshit. The misery in the body is prior. It's the most easy to concede! Would your mind EVER create psychological suffering - that is just basically anticipation of pain and remembering of pain - if you knew that your body is totally incapable of pain? There you go...these are not very complicated equations but you'll never see these simple truth cause then thr situation is WAAAAY worse than your polyanna mind would have you believe and ofc you are NOT allowed to talk shit about life. im fairly certain if one were to dig through some eastern philosophical works they would arrive at the source of kapil's ideology. guy aint special. what he's said has prob been said hundreds of times over.

I really liked this talk. So once I identify my blockages (which was a really good thing for me to dig into) what's next? Meaning how to deal with them / move past them?
These dudes just say what they think Kapil wants to hear is so disingenuous, just the way they talk, their little sighs and pauses. And Kapil can see through this bullshit with ease.
As a twenty plus year, serious , genuine frustrated seeker of truth, this guys message resonates with me and has actually been a huge eye opener for me. I do have a view negative views to his approach, and mindset. He is stuck in the void. He doesn’t care what happens to others because he lacks compassion, and lacks a kind, approachable demeanor. He should care, and genuinely care for all beings. In my opinion he genuinely is experiencing emptiness, but without compassion it is not genuine enlightenment. I also disagree with him on using certain prescriptions, as skillful means can be used and discarded once no longer needed. Meditation is a way to bring the mind to a place where it can comprehend truth. There are many relative truths but they are only partial truths. There is only one truth and that is knowing our true nature and the nature of reality. His message as a whole though is spot on, and what I needed to come closer to the revelation of truth, the truth of suffering, and the truth of reality. There is ultimate truth, and relative truth, and he lumps them both into the same category, they are not the same kind of truth. I would love to spend a day with this guy though, and I’m sure I could benefit immensely from the encounter. His message is best for the sincere seeker who has spent decades on the path and has reached an impasse. Without practice being used as a form of skillful means then one would just become like everyone else. Use the boat to cross the shore, but drop the boat once the shore is crossed. I myself will continue to meditate, do Qi Gong, Nei Gong, breath work, and study until they are no longer needed. In Truth I will probably always use these in one form or the other, although may approach to them will change as I come closer to realization. Prescriptions are needed, as we are all sick, we can discard them once we are healed. ☸️☦️☯️🕉️
