I would have to look at the dev notes but it could be the rotation they usually do with game modes. I loved the jousting mode and then one day it was gone. It might be seasonal.
@@theholygamingempire I see, but that's not the case. It wasn't a seasonal game mode, it was present inside the main 64 players mode, as a variation(like Coxwell, Montcrux, etc). You can notice that the maps themselves are still there - some are used in seasonal modes, like free-for-all archer battles, for instance -, but the battles are gone. And I repeat: they weren't seasonal; they've been there since I began to play that game. You'd just have to play the main mode and you'd surely stumble at those battles.
Oh you know what I remember one map was the Breach of Baudwyn at night. The maps might have been put to the wayside because of server space and capability.
@@theholygamingempire but the maps are still there. When the free-for-all archer battle(sorry, I don't recall the actual name) come back again, you'll it takes place in one of these maps: a huge open field. P.S.: it's important to point out that I'M NOT talking about those team elimnation last stand battles(like, 5x5, 6x6, etc.), wihich was a seasonal event; I'm refering to those 64 players, army x army, for points, in which your team would kill more and die less before the time runs out.
The good about shields is that they can protect you from arrows even if you don't raise them; it depends on the position of it in regards to the arrow(like, when you're running on the battlefield and an archer shoots an arrow at the side where your shield es protecting you, even that you hadn't pressed the guard button).
I like to think of it like I’m swinging a metal baseball bat at people. Cause if you’ve played baseball, you know that then you swing you put your upper body into the swing. And our camera in a way controls our torso in game. So it can be very effective in 1v2 or sometimes even 1v3 fights, but that’s it. To be expected of a baseball bat in a fight with swords, axes, and hammers. But still fun. It may not be an S tier weapon, but it is definitely the S tier weapon for the Field Engineer in my opinion
All good. As long as things don't become pay to win. I am ok with some cosmetics needing to be purchased but there should also be some that can only be received by experience in the game.
I just started playing this game and I can see the progress day by day, but i would be thankfull if you reccomend me some op classes and weapons, currently i use messers with vanguard it seems really op to me
Yeah the Messer is going to be one of the best weapons in the game. If you are going to play vanguard the Dane axe is also going to be a good choice. Personally I like being the Knight and use the war axe. The Knight has more health and the War Axe has high damage output. It's all a matter of what play style you want to run with.
That would be a great idea to bring to Chivalry 2. I just have trouble seeing it since the dev team updates few and far between. Love the game just wish it would take advantage of good ideas.
If melee combat wasn't so inconsistent and infuriating i woudldnt have to play an archer. Dont get me wrong. I see my arrows pass through opponents too so the game isnt great all around.
Can you tell me what you see as inconsistent or infuriating? I am curious about what people think can be done better. Also I think hitboxes for arrows are small to kind of balance out the game since melee players would have a disadvantage.
The inconsistencies could be from what type of weapon os being used. It is a little strange when you try to hit somebody from the side and it still blocks but it's a mechanic that works in your favor too.
@@theholygamingempire there’s no better feeling than beating a sweat in a 1v1 or charging 30 people head on. Chivalry 2 is the best it gets in these regards
Also important to know about initiative. If you are trying to hit your opponent while they have initiative you are taking a gamble. If you are feeling slow try a faster weapon and see if it works better.
Good guide . but if useing crossbow or warbow . i do not want shoot other archer . i play crossbow 100 level . most shoot low hp . because shoot other archer can't help the team .
another thing i would add is timing your blocks to lose less stamina and retaliate fast, you can do this by blocking at the very last moment an enemy decides to swing at you. You also get a little stamina back so you can get a chain going that way.
what you're talking about it's counterattacks so you have to attack while defending with the same attack as the opponent. and in fact it doesn't get you stamina back, you just don't loose stamina and you gain stamina continuously during the fight
you know another tip would be the fact that no matter how good a player is, if he is low on health he has no choice but to block all attacks so that means a free kill by kicking him
I would highly recommend trying the game. Chiv 2 leans more into the silly side of the slasher genre. It has a mix of Monty Python humor with its brutal violence. What makes the game look clunky? It could be just me lol.
@@theholygamingempire I've def given it a go, reached level 18 but I just don't enjoy the mechanics as much as I want to. Every weapon/class feels like I'm wielding a 200lb log. As well you have instances where people doing their best hop/spin/duck/knife throw taking out heavily armored knights, groups of 3-4 guys armed with halberds struggling to finish a single twitchy player, inconsistent block responses, etc. It can be fun at times, but massively frustrating as well. I just don't think it's reached it's potential yet and can easily turn off a lot of players. Not everyone has the time to master such a janky system and will just move on to something more enjoyable.
Fair enough. I would say that weapons feeling heavy would to be to give the weapons a sense of weight in the world and not feel like how weapons are in Skyrim. With Chiv 2, I think it is about learning the mechanics and the quirks of the game. I think there is plenty of room for expansion and improvement. Also I think the game is made for a certain type of audience which is completely fine. Games that try to appeal to all are liked by none. I just want to give the game attention because the devs put effort into it.
@@theholygamingempire You're doing great work and it can certainly be a lot of fun. I don't want it to copy another game either, just some further nuance and accessibility to help grow the community. Thank you for your positive engagement. Cheers!
@cozylife222 Yeah here is to hoping that the developers keep updating and making it more accessible. Thank you for your comment and I appreciate your support. Cheers to you!
