I did Not know my uncle was dead next door, I found Him in the morning. My cuzzin had died also a couple weeks before making the video. People say "Oh those are just dust " ??? Or Orbes ???

Many Tribes really don't have an issue with Marijuana but there are protocols behind using it. Some believe that it is an older people's medicine, here to help calm and slow you down when you aren't in the age to do things that the young do, the young are supposed to have energy and go out and help provide, and when it comes to age and when some of them get older and they don't slow down its there to remind them that they are getting older and need to slow down, let the young take over, so it's not necessary a forbidden thing, but like any other medicines that we use, example peyote, coffee, tobacco, they can be misused. I personally see cannabis to be a good thing, whether it's recreational or medicinal, but there are teachings behind cannabis, maybe some don't have those but its definitely nothing wrong with that. Cannabis is a consciousness that can change your life.

As far as the US Government is concerned, the Mohawk nation does not straddle the US/Canada border. The US recognizes the Mohawk nation that has land in the US. The US has no relationship with any tribal nations that have not accepted the "trust" relationship by treaty with the US.

Mr. Lewis Mitchell, I am an admirer of your craft. I recently learned about the cultural significance of the wooden traditional lacrosse stick to the Indigenous people. I am sorry it took me so long to learn this, but I never played lacrosse nor am I a sport watching fan. However it is my conclusion that only indigenous people be the caretakers of the wooden traditional lacrosse stick, and all wooden sticks be returned to the Indigenous people, because I have observed that non indigenous people do not show the respect that this item deserves. I do think it is ok for non indigenous people to assist in this return as long as the transfer is less than 30 days. Bc this is a worthy cause for me, and so far I only been able to assist in the return of a few, it’s only been a few months since I started. So if you see some old white guy buying wooden traditional lacrosse sticks, I do use a case to transport them after purchase and so far only held possession of one for 5 days. I do think that if Lacrosse was declared a religion bc non indigenous people have many religion’s to choose from, then Indigenous people can use the wooden lacrosse stick as religious icons and would be protected under the Criminal Code of Canada. Then anyone who intentionally harms or destroy a wooden lacrosse stick can and will be charged for a criminal offence. I say this after watching Larry Bird using a wooden lacrosse stick to smash items in his house for a utube video. He didn’t use a baseball bat, hockey stick, or golf club, bc they are white peoples game. No Larry Bird used a wooden lacrosse stick, bc he didn’t think there would be any consequences. I wrote to his booking agent to file this complaint. This is 2024 enough of the racist crap, grow up people.

So everything green is bad? Lol. You know snakes are different colors, are all the colors bad? I've smoked weed for 20 years and never once have I hissed like a snake or seen anyone else do that smh. And the squinty eyes thing, are you saying eastern Asian people are evil? That would be racist, and most native Americans descend from those people groups. Cmon man!

I would like to purchase some skunk oil and the skunk scent too. I have caught two of them life in traps, but I haven't been brave enough to tackle it. Maybe carbon monoxide... We myself and skunks have traditionally been at peace, I leave them alone and they leave me alone. But lately they have woke me from sleep on two different days.

As a non indigious speaker from the aspergers commuity,, in recognition of the importance of The root internal expression strutures of ones language and how these internal layers deeply impact our relationships with the world and how we came to "see" and respect one another. as well as ones internal ablity to recognise or "see" non human relations, our language is Noun based . and is very object orentated , Most orignal languages are at there core are "Verb" based ,and "must" also be voiced from a place of intutiion ,I have allways had this gut feeling there was something off or wrong with my langage expression in the aspergers commuity the term its sometimes called "wrong planet syndrone" but I really dont think that fits very well, I have a very close friend from the Tsalagi naiton who had his only son killed in 1983 for his act of teaching the other tsalagi children there people's language. (Forever Cherokee- forever young) on youtube but be cautioned trigger warning) awareness of this act not suprisingly brought up a lot of deep questions, why such an aggresive attack upon "langauge itself" ? it goes way deeper then that .what would happen if we took an interlised look at the embedded roots of our own langage and the idologys that where "inbedded within it ? Words like "Ani-(mal)" (Bad Soul) or (Evil Soul) that we use commonly everyday these words have internal latin embedment. whats to source origins of the world "Indian" ? indigious scholars like Steven Newcomb have brought awarness to these hidden deep layers and there underpinnings.. "but" its that gut expression that has been repressed within systemic struture our own language family. This issue is one of core reasons the preservation of first peoples "living" languges are so vitaly important ..How will our language evolve given the layers we have been made aware of now is also the deeper question.. The core underlying strutures of "Rights verses "responsabiltys" and the deep refelcted issues of "Duality" within our "thought process" .. Wado / Thank you

I think it’s so important to have more recordings like this. Just long clips of people speaking fully in their native language. I see many language revitalization videos that only show the language spoken in a single word or phrase at a time, but it’s so much deeper to hear the language spoken naturally in a conversation instead of isolated into individual terms. Thank you for creating this!

This is a beautiful conversation. I really resonated with the oral speakers vs readers and the idea that to become fluent in your native language is to see and embrace the world through it. The principles and ethics and philosophy come through in the language. I find that is true for my own native language and sometimes i have to get it of my Western educated brain to really understand myself in the spirit of it. Thank you for sharing this!

7:26 see the man behind you in top right corner of screen? He's looking right atchu, with a 'jack Nicholson ' eyebrow There's also a whiter/mistier one left of him on that slanted roof 2x4 Look very close and you'll see them...(hopefully) *I can send you enhanced screenshots if you have an IG or enail...

6:55 Zoom in on that right window. U can see a little girl's face in the white whisp And zoom in on the left window: Bottom left corner to see those faces(they are tiny) *seen at the roof peak under the ledge is an older bald man. Think he's smoking a cigarette 7:05 look in the reflection behind you in the window glass Up top faces are peeking around atchu... Behind your elbow, kids are being held back while they grip the holder at the waist (kinda like protective/scared adult/kid stance) *a more trained eye can see them in the carpet and window on right side of screen too
