I love classic Halloween colors too! Decorating is about personality and putting up things that bring us joy 💕 I loved how my pink pumpkins and Mickey bats tied into my Halloween decorations, I also incorporated lots of black and purple with some orange accents, it’s spooky and whimsical just what I was going for. This was a fun video! Thank you for showcasing the differences in the fabrics and how each one held up. I still think I like cheesecloth the most. I'm not sure I like the cotton. It kinda reminds me of a baby wipe. 😂 Oh and LOVE the ombre look! 🩵
The cheesecloth definitely works best for the ghosts! It was fun to try out a variety of fabrics and I think the tulle was a close second! I think cotton would be better if you have a printed pattern that you wanted to use I have seen it done with florals cotton prints and it looks really cute. I mostly just tried the cotton cause I had extra glue and wanted to use it up. Thanks for your comment I enjoyed reading it :)
@meredithmakingmagic I love that you tried it and I think it can be so much fun to play around with. I'd love to find a cotton with some iridescent swirls to try.
I made my own hat pattern a few years ago using this pattern www.deliacreates.com/make-witch-hat-in-any-size-tutorial/ I’m hoping I can post a tutorial soon! I used satin not felt and I have some tips for doing that. You can also find printable witch hat patterns on Etsy or Pinterest.
