Just found your channel. I just got my first LC! '84, 5 spd, BJ42. I'm planning on putting on a turbo, as soon as I'm sure the endine is in good enough shape. I don't have a maunel for specs. Compression is 1. 425 2. 410 3. 400 4. 430. What do you think those psi values indicate for the engine?
just came across thisthis video love what you did with the rear end with the tire mount and the gas can mount can you give me information on those products and also the front bumper you have on this 60
Did you guys have to move the motor mounts and transmission mounts on the frame? Also, for the engine side mounts did you guys just use oem fj40 mounts? Great stuff!
Just get a longer parking brake. Easier option vs changing a major component. I'd definitely try to keep that center console in.. That is one of the few complaints I have with the landcruiser
Did you have to get that engineered? I had to take my crack to a ticketed welder/ repairer as i was told it would not pass the blue slip- which is the slip we need in Australia to get a vehicle registered.
Yep, it feels bad at the time when we realise we made a mistake. But you are not a dummy. The man who made no mistakes, made nothing. But you are making something, something good, an old school fj40, 😃👍
Loved this video you put together…it gave me a front row seat for a project I hope to be able to start this fall…loved it. The kids will remember this their entire lives.
Yes, a very very beautiful FJ or now BJ 45...and the engine runs like a Swiss watch!!! My HJ61 with the 12HT has 500.000 km and still starts up and runs like (almost) new. Never never never ever had an issue... Again nice build! Cheers, H.
Hello fellow Weekend-Warriors, nice video!!! Perhaps a quick question: What kind of setup do you use for "sand" blasting your stuff please? Many thanks from a fellow Toyota and especially BJ40 love 🙂 Cheers, H
