Hi Brin, trying to get that circlip out my rear calipers and am having no joy. I have circlip pliers but I don't know if you need special ones as they are just not fitting/doing the job. Struggling to even get them in as the pliers handles are fouling on the caliper body where the mounting holes are. Any ideas ?
If the radiator is full of crap and not getting coolant flow at the thermoswitch the fans will not come on or will come on late causing spikes in temperature. Ask me how I know ?
Let's bother about exhaust notes? Induction noises are wonderful on these, wwiiiSSHHH POOOWWwww!! every gear change. And another thing, I don't care if the cone is robbing power.
So I would strongly suggest you edit this to show each step including how to remove the radio. Since I did not know how to, I had to find another video that details that. How about also showing everything being put back? That would help as well....
Perhaps. BUT, what about those people who never commented like I did? I had to go elsewhere to find out how to remove the radio. So by jumping ahead only frustrates people because they may not know how to do the other steps. I'm just saying....
@@wehrmachtoberst what frustrated you more- having to do a bit more digging to access free content to fix your car without having to go to a garage, or not being able to use your hazard button because it was pushed through the dash?
Did you ever get around to making a video to remove the heater matrix? I've dismantled the entire front but struggling now to access the matrix inside the black ducting - cant find how to dismantle. If anyone can give any advice as im sure there are some hidden fixings I cant see.
Hi Bryn, thanks for the videos, they're a great help. I did this but then, when securing the linkage, I broke the retaining bolt. Help needed in sunny Tamworth
Is it the same on the 180hp versions? I just noticed how awful the ratsnest of hoses and solenoids under the bracket in front of the intake manifold looks on my TT and I‘d really like to just bypass all that stuff to remove points of failure.
Would definitely recommend cleaning it spotless, you can’t afford grit inside. The piston has to be immaculately spotless. You’ll also want rubber grease on all the new rubber inner faces meeting metal. Much like dark colours heatsoak they also dissipate heat best too. Bright colours reflect heat and trap it - not good for callipers. Bare metal even less hassle. Handy video to show the steps and confirm tools needed. 👍 Maybe worth using a cheap tripod (a flexible gorilla) for the camera/phone. It’s presumably similar across all Mk1, 2 and 3.
I am just in the process to have to change my clutch on my TT Sline 2009. In France, the whole job cost just under 2000 Euros in a garage .. for 7hrs work. 🤦🏻♀️😱
hello My name is Filipe, I have an Audi S3 8l 1.8 quattro 210hp. my haldex is having problems but I don't know what it could be. When I turn the steering wheel all the way to one side, the rear wheel gets stuck and feels like it's dragging. Could you help me? thanks.
So i guess I‘ll use the frame rail when changing tires rather than the rubber lift mounts… although I probably need to get a rubber pad for my floor jack…
You probably disturbed the spindle that holds the housing on- it probably came lose with the filter. Take the filter off and see if the nut itself is lose
@@BWSTT copy that yea the Audi tech who did the car last put it on there extremely tight….. I literally spent 6 hours trying to get it off lol took off charge pipe and put on like 20 rubber bands and it did the trick
Then good luck, you’ll need to find a way to remove it, if you remove the tie bars and drive shaft to may still be able to do it in situ, but at that point I’d probably be removing the arm
Radius are for oem and some aftermarket, the ones in the video are radius but it’s probably hard to tell on camera. If in any doubt, whip one of yours out to check before ordering
@bwstt hy sorry for my stupid question, but, I’m looking for an exhaust which isn’t annoying if I would drive for a longer trip. On a highway. Isn’t his too loud on a higway? I want to have a deeper voice, but not too much. I like it when my neighbours don’t wake up while I’m coming home. Is this a good choice? Thank you.
idk bro but i change clutch alone and exhaust seems me harder i read need disconect ecu emty fuel tank and remove battery u remove only batery ?car is too low no other way im change turbo and no spin at idle only if remove exaust spin...and start this
If you heat up those turbo bolts with a blowtorch for about 3 minutes and let it cool off for 30 seconds or so you can undo those turbo bolts really easily without breaking them
