Do you guys have clip adapters for roof cargo racks? The ones that came with my cargo rack aren't tall enough to be screwed together properly, they look too be made for the flat bars not the round. I have the round yakima cross bars seen in this video
What's the rush on this video?? Was it filmed at 4:59??? I spent $1,400 and you can't even take the time to create a decent video with more than 1 camera that isnt fixed 15' away??
Does the pin do anything? I can just pull it out even after tightening everything else. The only thing preventing the whole thing from pulling out of the receiver is pressure from the inside?
They say specifically in the video to use front pads for front bar and back pads for back bar, but neither in the video nor the manual do they display/show the difference. Can I get some help? I have the solid pads and the gridded pads with gaps.
I use Hully Rollers on the back and hull rests on the front and generally tie down the same way with a bit of a twist. I loop the strap over the kayak, under the bars and inside the towers but I run the back strap around the front of the cockpit and back, under the bar inside the tower and up to the buckle. Reverse for the front strap; over the kayak, under the bar, back to the top of the kayak behind the rear lip of the cockpit, back to the front outside, under the bar inside the tower and up to the buckle. Snug both ends down and don't really worry about bow and stern straps. That's with an Old Town 17" Kayak.
If we use the EXO basket on the swing base we can carry up to 250lbs. For those heavier “e-bikes” 🙃 any attachment for this? Or just strap it in with custom inserts? The Surron style bikes need a solution, or it can just be in a maybe safer location, inside a Subaru Outback. 🤷♂️
@@CaliVapor hey there! The EXO GearWarrior is made for hauling bulky gear you may not want in your rig, we don’t recommend using to transport bikes - we don’t have any sort of insert for that.
@@YakimaRacksOfficial Thank you and I understand it’s not intended for bikes, just the fun “e-bikes” are around 125 lbs each. I love the EXO system btw, looks so clean.
Any reason this couldn't be used to carry Fly fishing rods like the ReelDeal? I like the price point of the reeldeal that carries 4 skis or rods, but the lower profile of the Evo.

I have purchased many Yakima products through the years and just purchased the HD rack with many accessories and have been happy with Yakimas products. I,One of the reasons that i went with Yakima is your customer service, they were terrific, but in the last 3 weeks, i have called 13 times, on hold for 30 minutes on 10 of those calls and no one ever picks up. I tried you Bot chat and its horrible...what happened?
I wish this was designed to work on oem bars, which typically do not extend over the width of the vehicle. Seems like an opportunity for a yakima accessory that would help a lot of customers.
I just have to say I am shocked that your BowsStern tiedowns do not have a carabiner. Such a terrible design to have a hook. You should know better @Yakima Racks and not make such an inferior product that could easily be remedied.
