It’s not in any condition to sell right now. I’ve been working on it in the background, but when it’s done being restored, I’m probably going to list it for around $30-35k
Hell yeah thanks dude, 99 aeb passat wagon checking in. Did a clutch dump and it started pissing coolant and sure enough it was the coolant temp sensor. My plastic clip actually sheared whichever caused the sensor to pip out and be half in and start leaking coolant to the back side of the motor. I didn't know the clip sheared until I watched this video and saw there's suppose to he a clip. So incase it happens to you that's what happened! Nice wagon.
I have the same problem, I'm wondering if it's possible that this may be the cause of 2010 A3 all.of a sudden.not starting..it cranks starts and shuts off.
Same car, 2011, same problem. Check for damaged wires near or under the battery and fuse box. Also is common for dead dashboards/clusters, radio, AC or heat etc. My cluster turned off 1,5 year ago but revived alone
@@TrippySidd I have my car in my garage, dead. I’m pretty sure it’s wiring since the only time it almost started was when I was hitting the wiring next to the battery with a stick ( I can’t see broken or melted wires ). The first time my cluster died I was told it was a lost (no communication) but it did came back. If I find the problem: I’ll be back Edit: It’s been 4 days since last comment. I have looked everywhere for broken or melted wires, so far I found almost invisible water damage behind the glove box (almost invisible, but probably caused some rusting inside including in the glove box light connection, still not enough to cause my problem) Going to keep looking for wiring problems

Good stuff! Also have a grey TL and did a lot of exhaust mods. It sounds good, but I’m sure it’s different in person and less loud than it appears to be. Both the res and mid-muff are straight through, so there isn’t any restriction there in the first place. It does sound louder than I would expect (I did the same thing, but with a 8” glass pack), so my guess is there could be some exhaust leaks from your welds. Spray some soapy water on the exhaust where the welds are and see if it bubbles up. Otherwise, this is a great setup for a daily. You NEED the rear mufflers for drone free sound, and a resonator to avoid rasp
