I have a 1994 Geo Prizm with the Toyota 1.6 liter 4 cylinder. At about 160,000 miles i started having hesitation issues when accelerating to pass vehicles. I had already installed new plugs, cap and rotor and thought maybe i had a bad fuel pump. BUT my suspicions kept telling me maybe i had a bad coil. I won't buy aftermarket junk so i got a replacement out of a Toyota(same year and model) out of the junk yard with low miles. Swapped it out and my problems went away. Not many video on RU-vid talking about this problem. Great video.

Neighbor does this fix all the time and he drills small holes in the baffle around specific cylinders, in the valve cover. He also has a AFM thing he inserts in his OBD2 reader too.

Yo!!! I just picked up a 2003 Eddie Bauer expedition 5.4 (2 VALVE) .. AND I drove it about half hour or more with blinking light ... Also it only has 140,000 miles on it.. think i burnt up the cats??

Other causes include (possibly) every vacuum hose in the car, and (definitely) a hole in the canister diaphragm valve which isn't available separately anywhere (2001 Toyota Avalon, haha). So many other things besides "clean/replace the gas cap and reset the code" on older cars. I will admit that my car is older to drink. This video's not bad for newer cars though. Anything else wrong, and the ECU will find it quickly. "Error in 3rd valve on left-hand side of engine block, third occurance"

Why not do it right . The bulb will eventually burn out and then you will have to go into the dash . The penny was a better idea.

Thank you. I had squealing before...... Had my timing belt done so had belts + tensioner done at the same time ....... After awhile the sqeal at start up came back. Guess the belt stretched out a bit. I thought it was the other belt, but thought there was nothing I could do due to the tensioner being self adjusting. Thank you. I wish I new this was common earlier. I'll give it a shot. Have a good one. 👍

Why this code appear only during driving? Cuz when car not move on N position everything is ok. Plus on LPG no codes, but if use gasoline thrn its appear.

Got a different cause of the same problem. The outboard drive rod is moving the seat, but the inboard drive rod is not turning. Tracked it down to the worm gear that drives the inboard rod must be stripped. The motor is turning it but it aint moving. What a surprise GM wires getting eaten thru by metal. I always inspect each branch of the harness as it goes thru the engine and the body to see what it is getting cut by in all our vehicles and they get cut by alot. Mfg's trying to save one penny per harness make it 1 inch shorter and it causes it to bind up againts metal that will cut it. Thanks for the info, dont have this problem but Im sure I will and Im gonna fix it before it breaks. Nicely Done!

Yeah the price is crazy !!! Detroit axel is my go to !!! I got the whole front end kit for like 250 , came with everything ball joints , wheel bearing , control arm with ball joint , few more parts , Napa wanted 1200 and ship wanted 1500 to install !

Got the ac delco thermostat, ac delco coolant temp sensor, new plug to the temp sensor, still having the same problem and ready to pull my hair out because I just got my 07 Tahoe 2 weeks ago. I’d bet my life that this is the problem

03 dodge ram 1500 5.7 I have 4 out of 8 coils cracked, my truck died going 75 would start idle hard for 15 secs then die again with code p0300 with a flashing engine light. Coils show up tomorrow so fingers crossed I appreciate this video
