Hey! I’m starting canicross with my 12 month Labrador. She’s great she loves to run and pull a lot, however whenever we run she bite the leash and will end up running sideways. We bought a soft and chuck it retriever toy so she would have that in her mouth in instead of biting the belt but I would like for her to not have anything in her mouth because she will also tend to drop the toys at times and go back to the leash. Thanks !!
Make sure you are using the commands so she knows what the "job" is that you want her to do. Building command training distracts them from behaviours like this. It may take time to build the behaviour change but short training sessions working on it really helps 🐾🧡
Hi, yes you can, if both dogs pull in a similar way. If however one pulls more strongly than the other, we would suggest two separate lines, so one does not affect the other.
Really great message about starting small and building up changes. It's too easy to think "I need to change everything" then end up beating myself up for not sticking to it. I'm new to canicross, but not new to peri menopause. The exercise is great, but the social aspect of any sport is really important to me. Canicross adds in a 3rd dimension of being with my dog, who has a lovely time running with his new doggy friends.
I'm disappointed this harness doesn't have Velcro release for the legs...pulling multiple husky's legs through this thing twice a day is a real bitch and I never would've bought them. But thank you so much for this video because even though I couldn't believe that's how it was designed, your video was the only source for definitively determining this information.
The Canicross waistbelt is specifically designed to take the pull from around your hip area so there is no pull coming into the back which can cause injury. It sits across the glutes where it is far easier to control the speed of the dog running ahead of you. It also allows for a more balanced, upright run making it safer and more comfortable to run in.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been looking for reviews on canicross belts (especially this one) for hours with no luck. Thank you for filling that niche.
Excellent outdoor activity. : Pump dat boddee. : An enjoyable owner and doggy work out. : So, at the end of the day, : Everyone's a winner !!! 🔥🔥✌️😄👆🍀🍀
I have tried running with my Sprocker spaniel and it's quite challenging as unlike the huskey I used to have he doesn't run in a straight line and jumps around in front of me constantly. How can I listen to the whole podcast?
The Patch pooch has ts tarted yet. He’s still a couple months too young. But having this will be great for him to get used to wearing and walking with me!

Me and my border collie 'Barra' are just at the very start of our canicross journey. He's just turned a year old and so we've been learning the commands on a lead. We're both ready and raring to go -hopefully with the proper kit 😬 🤞 🐕 🏃♀️
