Every sane human should make a research on the property market etc before moving to a new place@country. It seems not logic at all when you decided to make such a big decision without knowing that much about the new place.it seems so stupid actually.

Nice couple but he is originally from Bulgaria so he should have been aware of the prices. Also Bulgaria is one of the poorest countries in the EU. If his salary is insufficient now how are they going to cope in future?
