I'm from Sunderland (a Mackem) and teach A level Chemistry (OCR A specification). Use these videos to help your understanding and get the best possible grade. They have worked for thousands of students before, no matter which exam board they studied, let them work for YOU.
I have organised the channel by a series of playlists. You can find the links to all of my playlists via the link below.
You can also find me on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok (links below)
Feel free to get in touch and let me know what you think. I'm especially keen to hear your suggestions for future channel content. You can even buy me a coffee if you really want to!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, i was having a total breakdown trying to figure out why we heat the solution thinking nh3 bubbles out just like carbon dioxide does when adding an acid to carbonates
Thanks for sending the link,I woud've gone crazy and randomly searched up in Google which I did but luckily I saw the link and clicked on it and printed it out
Your videos are very fine thank you so much if possible please also cover Cambridge syllabus stuff like Group 2 (sulphates solubility decomposition of nitrates) and Group 7(reactions with concentrated sulphuric acid etc).
This is such a classic video remember when I started my alevels I watched this Tysm for this video James what a lifesaver and anyone watching use these videos I can vouch heavily this man has saved my alevels single handily
Hi, I hope you are enjoying your summer. I'm a private student who is going prepare for OCR(A) A Level Chemistry exams for next year. I'd like to ask you if there will be any specification updates which I need to be aware of? Thanks :)
Hi. Thanks for sharing this video. What is title of the video “checking for NH4” when what you described was testing for NH3? Or what am I missing in my thinking process?
how would nh3 get there if it wasnt for nh4 being in the reaction in the first place, but in any case, by applying this test we will learn whether both of them existed or not in the reaction, you can use it for the sake of either one, but the name is usually named after the initial ION, just like in the tests for alkali and alkaline metal ions, transition metal ions, halides, sulfate, carbonate
Thank you for all your vids ESPECIALLY the prediction ones - they were very accurate and rly helped calm my nerves as id always watch them the evening before the paper. Honestly don't think I would've got an A* without this channel as the grade boundaries are SO high so thank you so much!!!!
I GOT AN A and I’m off to medical school!! Thank you so much for all the hard work that you do to help so many students, I couldn’t have done it without your videos! Forever grateful 🙏 ❤🎉
I went from a B to an A* in 2 months your videos were a massive help, especially the organic mechanisms. they were something I found quite difficult and by the end I began really enjoying and understanding them and only dropped 4 marks on paper 2. thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your amazing videos. They were so helpful and made even topics I struggled with easy to understand. I really don't think I could've gotten the A I got this year (up from the low B I got last year) without them. Truly the best and my most used resource for a level chemistry♡♡♡
Hi, I just wanted to express how thankful I am for your videos and support throughout my A-level journey. I am so proud to have achieved an A* in Chemistry today and hope to study Chemistry at university. Thank you so much!
Hi James my brother just got his results and managed to secure an A* and got to his first choice thanks to your hard work and dedication I can’t thank you enough all credits go to you James
Hi James, I'm just writing to thank you for all the top-class content you put out. I got a B in chem last year, needed an A for first choice uni so resat this year and your videos made up at least 50% of my revision. Proud to say I got an A second time round🎉! Thanks again you absolute legend!

@@MaChemGuyHi Sir, I'm back. Just received my results. I successfully achieved a grade B, was hoping it was an A but it was still good considering I used to get Us throughout year 1 and beginning of year 2 😭😭. Thank you for all the help
