Hanging the calliper by the hoses, that’s a no no. No lube on the pad sliders, dropping the pad on the ground but not checking to see if you cracked it and finally no torque wrench on the bolts. Is this a how not to video?
Hey I know this video is super old and this comments unrelated to the actual video but I got a 99 bear tracker…bought it cheap with no air filter dirty spark plug and it would start and drive fine but won’t idle I took the whole carb apart rebuilt it trying to keep as many parts inside original only changing the float seat and pilot screw set that to 2 and half turns out like I keep seeming to read everywhere and it’s still seeming to have the same issues It starts right up with choke it will idle pretty good on half choke but once I take it off choke it usually dies Sometimes when the engine is warm I can keep it running off choke and in gear but I don’t really know what I’m doing just been watching a bunch of videos tryna wing it It seems like it’s so close to running perfect and part of me thinks it’s the pilot screw still and maybe it just needs a small adjustment just sucks having to take the carb off and on a million times Any tips would be appreciated
I never got ours to run right. I will be getting back on it soon. If you figure it out let me know. It has been a few years since I fooled with it. My boys killed the starter clutch again and I got sick of messing with it.
Hey y’all for the clip on the visor since I broke the first one and had to buy a new one it comes in 2 i was going to break the other one lol so I grabbed some locking vice grips right in the center and yanked it off and it came off like a glove !
I have a drivers side window that won’t go up or down by power. The regulator is ok not stripped and can move up and down. Put a new switch and motor but still nothing. Where should I look at next? Also the fuses are good
You need to test for power at the motor and see if it it has voltage on command when you operate the switch. If it has power the motor is bad if it doesn't you have a power distribution problem and will need to start testing from the window motor back. I have seen harnesses break at the door jam where they flex between the body and the door. A power probe is a wonderful tool that will let you test for power and ground and you can also apply power to the motor to see if it works.
@@HotRodDave Can you make VIDEO on how to test the motor ! I have the same problem ....I have replaced switch ,motor and regulator also 2018 Tucson. Thanks for sharing your videos !
@@MrGuitarfool That was not my car s I don't have it handy to make a video on it. You can take a simple volt meter and test for voltage at the motor while operating the switch. I use a tool called a power probe. It let's you test for power and ground fast and also let's you apply voltage and ground to the circuits if needed.

Great video, will be do this today. Any info on the 2005 Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi water pumps? We are on our 3rd one and this one is now leaking, one from Advanced , Fishers, and one from the dealer is now leaking that cost $800 plus alone. They all seem to last around a year and a half then the belt starts squeaking to let us know it's leaking. 🤔 Appreciate any help we assuming it's just crap parts from wherever they are made now. China/Mexico
Thanks but I don't have any insider info on the water pumps. That seems like a lot of water pumps. I would think the Mopar replacement would be the best but I really don't know
well silly me where did you get that gadget with funnel cap? they actually sell this? or is it home made?😲 I don't think I can make something like that.
Bailey was like barking cause she was telling you that a sparkplug was missing 😁 @06:00 in a pinch you can get heat shrinkpull that line off after freeing the pump, put a short piece of vacuum line on, reconnect and shrink it down. That big vacum as you seen would be very difficult to insetrty into that hole.
@@HotRodDave yes the motor is running on both but windows stop moving up/down. Also I noticed when the vehicle is off, I can still pull the window up and down with my hand.
@@0v0JAY7 I am running a dump truck now and am able to take it home everyday but am the only one that does. Some companies do some don't you just have to ask.
Had the same issue today. Bought a few more Evil Energy ends to complete my project and had nothing but issues. The hose kit was another brand and I think this is why I was having issues. I've used Evil Energy kits before and never had an issue. Definitely will be staying with Evil Energy from now on.
I know this is old video but now I no how to do it there's no sound coming from mine so i just got second hand motor if it's like that one stripped i think I'll use JD weld until it goes again then replace door panel if it works put together day after cheers 🍻 👏
If my window is able to roll down fine but not roll up. When you try to roll up it makes that humming noise. Would that be a window regulator problem as well you think?
I order the window regulator, and as soon as I got to the step to remove the motor. I looked at it and knew right away, the gear on the motor was what was chewed up causing the window to only be able to go down but not up. Nonetheless I swapped the whole regulator out and ended up putting the motor from the back right window on the front right and it is operable again. I order a new motor for the back left window to replace the broken one. Thanks for the steps and video, made it very easy.
Hey thank you for posting this quick question should the drive pulley(black one in the rear) and the tension pulley be at the same exact height? My tension pulley seems to be a little higher and I’m wondering if this could be why the drive belt slipping off before it’s even engaged? Thanks again for your video Joe
I had to replace all 4 of mine at 70 00 miles I'm 65 years old and the last time I replaced a windob regulater was on a 1972 Caprice with close to 300,000 miles on it. These cars are junk. I just had to relax e my second clutch pack at 80,000 miles.
So I have a 2014 Jeep JKU Had a leak in the lower rad hose so I replaced it. But the heater has never worked as long as i’ve owned the car, never really needed to fix it given where I live it doesn’t really get cold. When burping the system (without heater on because it doesn’t work) The coolant began to boil into the funnel and I turned off the engine. Should I burp it again or is the boiling normal? Also the thermostat has not been over heating it stays very close to the middle. Thanks!
I would be figuring out why the heater doesn't work first. I would definitely do several warm up cool downs and check the fluid when it cold in the radiator. If it isn't running hot on the gauge and not pushing coolant out of the overflow/expansion tank then you are probably good. I would want to know I had heat though. Good luck to you and be careful not to get burned. Always check the coolant level when the engine is cold. Thanks for watching and the comments
I'm having the same issue on my 09 Laramie 1500 5.7 hemi. When the light comes on , the engine shuts down. And starts back up with mo issue.. my oil pressure READS 66 KSI.
Same issue only it didn't throw the belt just bent the fan blades into the pully wheel. I simply clipped the bent ends of the blades off until the end of the season when i feel like doing this
Thanks for the video. I just did thermostat and upper rad hose. Could get it to bleed. U reminded me to turn the heater, thanks. Duh to me. I sat my jeep at a slight incline with the front higher. I don't know if that helped but it certainly didn't hurt. Thanks again!!!
I just did my 2022 ford escape, everything went great except when it came time to take the car out of brake maintenance mode, Nothing worked, I had to have the car towed to the ford dealer and they had to call ford computer tech guys to get it out,, Don't be like me put your car in maintenance mode and back out before doing the brakes just to make sure it works,, buyer beware
