No way Hades is the best indie game ever made, not even in TOP 50; it probably is not even in the first 10, for 2020. Absolute disagreement on this, there is no way this overexploited colorized Diablo kind of RPG/hack-and-slash is the best game, unless there is only one indie game ever produced, the mentioned. Ori is probably the winner for that particular year, could be a contender for best, but there are other very interesting genres and genre-mixes, while it is only a platformer (one of thousands), although exceptionally beautiful one. But Hades "colorized Diablo"? No, no, no, no, no way, out of the question.
Hey Indie, I've just sent you an email regarding the fact that I am a solo UE 5 developer that currently makes an ARPG, please check your inbox if you're interested for collab. Thank you
Love your channel... the one I'm looking forward to most wasn't mentioned (this isn't a complaint... there's too many to get every one)... but I'm looking super forward to Isles of Sea and Sky (was originally called Akurra)... finally got a release date of May 22... can't wait!
You guys really hit the sweet spot of curating balanced lists of games that range from well known to lesser in a variety of genres. I always end up being more open minded to something I knew about and had written off or discovering something I haven't seen anywhere
I just wanted to thank you again for getting the channel back up and continuing this great series spotlighting indie games. I said it in a video years ago, but there's just something special you bring to these videos that I can't find in others. Thank you so much for the videos and the hours of great games you lead me towards. Cheers brother!
Missed the sure-to-be-incredible Lorelei and the Laser Eyes by Simogo, developers of Sayonara Wild Hearts. Comes out May 16th and I'm holding off on buying Hades 2 and Animal Well because I'm so excited for it specifically.
As ive already got Hades 2 (and loving it), my most anticipated game this may is The Land Beneath Us. Its a grid- and turnbased roguelite with stunning visuals. I was hooked on the demo, played it for 5 hrs and drained it for content
Little Kitty was in the long list for this video and yet we missed it. I think I'm going to pick it up this afternoon and have a play while lounging on the sofa. Cheers!
Hades 2 is for sure will be a day one buy for me, but I would rather wait until it finished. Not a huge fan of playing early access games. Capes sound interesting, and might be something I would look into.
WOW these games all look amazing! Thanks you for this especially braving Harvest as my other Indie game channels don't like Horror either so I might have missed it!
For me, best indie month in a while: Animal Well, Astor, Nine Sols, Overmorrow, Read Only Memories 2, Lorelei & the Laser Eyes, Crow Country, 1000xRESIST, Lysfanga, Hauntii, Paper Trail, Until Then, Archaeogem, Pampas & Selene, Isles of Sea & Sky, Pine Hearts, SKALD.
I played the Hauntii demo a while back and that game is absolutely gorgeous. My personal favorite from this month (and honestly probably my GOTY) is Abiotic Factor, though! It's a co-op survival game, set in a Half-Life 1 type setting. It came out in Early Access on the 2nd and I can't get enough of it :')
Gonna recommend Rabbit & Steel, a bullet hell roguelike inspired by mmo raiding. Probably not for everyone, especially at the highest difficulty (it’s brutal) but it’s incredibly addictive with a lot of charm.
