To anyone who’s a victim you’re in my prayers. I got shot a week ago nothing vital was damaged but man was I scared. Reading alot of yall stories made truly understand how blessed I was. The coward shot 10 times and only hit me once in my lower back. Couple inches over and I would been paralyzed. God kept us alive for a reason yall. So let’s keep moving forward! 🙏🏾
I had my wisdom tooth extracted last week, and since then, I've been unable to feel my lower lip and chin. Surprisingly, the oral surgeon forgot to perform the necessary CT scan he said was needed before the surgery, and I was already under sedation and unable to remind him. Now he's blaming and avoiding me
I feel severe itch the same night after removing my wisdom tooth soon as aneasthesia effect is gone . Couldn't even sleep that very night. I re- visited my dentist but they said nothing was wrong. Since then my life is never the same. Tingling sensation at times on the insition site. Sometimes it effect my subandubular gland . And sometimes i feel burning sensation on my left nose till my eye ( tooth extraction was on the left side ). I visited a lot of doctors like the ENT, dentist , medicine, oncologist, neurology. Evrytime doctors said, its related to nerve demage and this could go on for a lifetime !. How I wish this isn't real but just a dream...its my 3rd year...sometime the itchiness is severe.. I get scared if this will turned into Cancer !!! ....but everytime doctors said this is related to nurve demage...😢
How can the common person find doctors who use Axoguard Nerve Caps? For example, I have Morton's Neuroma. How do I find a surgeon who can perform a neurectomy then place this axoguard nerve cap on the end of my nerve?

Madie I feel for you. I have been going through the same problem, and live in Canada, and I'm told that no one will touch a damaged mouth again, as it is too risky? Can you send me more information on where you had your surgery?
Its' been a year and I still have numbness on the right bottom of my lip and chin, and when I brush the right side of my bottom teeth theres a weird feeling on my teeth and gums, I know I had some sort of nerve damage.
I have the same problem on the bottom left side, after a failed dental implant was removed 1.5 years ago? It is awful feeling, I keep hoping I will find something that will help with the pain and discomfort. I live in Canada, and the Maxillofacial surgeon says there is nothing they can do, other then pain medication which I refuse to take.
It’s been over 2 months since I got my wisdom teeth removed, the right side of my bottom lip feels weird whenever I touch it, and the right side of my chin is still pretty numb.
Hello i appreciate if any one has answer for me before 4 yrs i had double jaw surgery.. in the begining first year i had excessive drooling and i couldnt feel at all my lower lips and chin then gradually i became better i still had some numbness and tingling in the lips and chin but my salivation stopped after 1 year finally after 4 yrs i again have that drooling and increased numbness .. no one knows what is wrong with me .. i feel desperate and hopeless i cant handle with that salivation altered sensation in my mouth and that numbness
Its been 12 years for me and my tongue is still numb how much does this surgery cost to repair the nerve? I think it's affecting the symmetry of my jaw because the numb side of my tongue is always twisting and pulling down its stuck in a perpetual rotation and it feels numb and makes it hard for me to talk clearly and fast consistently it sucks really bad. How can I get this fixed?
Happened to my momma and could happen to me. I inherited her bottom wisdom teeth curvy roots which introduce surgical complications. My mom wasn't so lucky. Her teeth were yanked out and now she can't feel parts of her chin. As for me, I'm going to look into doing a coronectomy (only removing the crown and not the root) to prevent risk of permanent nerve damage.
I am 19 and my wisdom teeth have just started to erupt . Unfortunately, they are horizontal and it hurts a lot ,also i have tmj disorder and bruxism ,it hurts a lottt .My face sometimes swollens up and it makes me so insecure ,it hurts so much i cant even speak ,should i get my wisdom teeth removed or not and if not then idk what to do
My sincere appeal is plz comment who have came out of this numbness naturally because it is 5 months for me. I still suffer with the issue. I feel happy if i heard anything positive. Looking for p. Response.
My last wisdom tooth was removed almost two months ago,and I still am numb on chin, gum, teeth lip and I too bite my bottom lip and have sores from trauma and the cold air makes the pain worse so I wear a scarf ,and use cannabis seed cream at night to help the nerve calm so I can sleep better.I went to follow up with the dentist and it's finally shrinking a bit in size so surgery is no longer on the table so I may haft to suffer permanently.
I got shot in my foot and back barely missed my spine but my foot still hurts a lot it shattered three of my bones but it’s been a couple months but still hurts like it was yesterday
I pray all of you recover in the comments. I got shot 3 years ago in my hip. The bullet destroyed my nerve. I had to learn how to walk again I’m in constant agony. I am blessed to be alive and have motor skills in my leg.
I got my teeth pulled a week ago and I still am numb on my lower right side. I am 21 and kind of did it late. When the doctor was pulling the tooth, he put a lot of pressure down and I felt a crack and a shock wave go down my body. Is this normal?
Hi. I’m 2 days past my surgery (impacted inferior wisdom tooth) and I felt the same electric shock too when the dentist was extracting the tooth. My right side of the lip and chin are completely numb. I have parenthesia. How are you feeling right now?
Hello please give me some advice! I got my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday of last week. Ever since, part of my lower lip and under it, and some of my teeth are numbish and when I move my mandible sideways I feel a sensation travel through my gums and lip. I’ve been really scared that this will be permanent, and what to do because I had 4 wisdom teeth which were majorly impacted removed. I can still taste and feel me touching the area, but it doesn’t sense as much as pain as the other side or sense as much (if that makes sense). I’m only fifteen and I’m nervous since nobody seems to want to help me! What should I do?
I got shot in my left thigh with a hollow point 9mm. I fractured my left femur. I have drop foot & really bad burning left pain in my heel. I would do anything to live my life pain free.
I got shot 6 times one of the bullets hit behind my upper thigh. Damaging my sciatic nerve. It's been over a year this happened. I did surgery where they took my sural nerve to try and repair my sciatic nerve. The pain is still there it's excruciating pain shocking, burning, tingling pain... mostly in my foot. I still have drop foot but I did get improvement with motion downwards in my foot, but not upwards. My life changed alot. I still can't walk on my own, my muscles in my leg has become very weak. I try to exercise but sometimes the pain is too much to handle. I pray I get back feeling and mobility as this guy did. It's been extremely hard. I wish this doctor could help me... I don't know what else to do. I'm really starting to lose hope. I just wish I can walk again pain free.
Guys, if your teeth are impacted or even in a slightly weird position, you should see an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. OMF Surgeons are highly trained in exodontia and , in fact, the most impacted teeth, cysts etc are the easiest procedures they do. They start from here and can do orthognatic surgery, head and neck tumors and even traumatology, as they are insanely trained in both Medicine and dentistry and have double license. Of course, your general dentist can extract teeth as well, but only the normally erupted ones, if not, you should be reffered to an OMFS. Do your own research and seek the best care possible. There is no joke with impacted teeth and patients have no idea. The teeth can be tilted, or horizontal and the surgeon needs to cut through the bone and section the tooth to get it out in pieces. I’m not talking only about wisdom teeth, but every extraction is different and when you go to someone who is highly trained they will preserve the bone around the tooth for future procedures and take good care of you. A tooth can be even upside down in your jaw, or all the way up next to your sinus. They can have a very contact not only to a great nerve, but also to your sinus and so on. It is going to be more expensive, but you only extract these type of teeth once and you are not paying for the surgeon’s time, you are paying for the expertise.
Hello 👋 i got into a serious moto bike accident which damage my brachial nerve my left hand dont move. After 10 months i did an emg an was told the 3 main nerves are cut badly. Is the problem fixable
Her dentist screwed up... She should have gotten a CT Scan to see where the wisdom tooth was in relation to the Nerve.. Then if it was too close they should have done a coronectomy- Taking only the crown of the tooth, and leaving the roots..... Her dentist was an inexperienced poser...
