Hello, if anyone interested I have a polycraft available blue . Been used 3 times brought this year , comes with 20hp Mercury, 3 months old Bexhill, comes with trailer
Great videos, buddy.I realise you may not want to, but is there any chance of showing how you dispatch and bleed the fish. Perhaps at the end of a film with a warning .
It’s a subject sadly I can’t really show. The world has gone a bit mad unfortunately… I think there’s a few videos on RU-vid that would show it. It’s a simple affair. Hope you find a good video and enjoy your catch! Thanks for watching! Have a great week!
Mate can I just say your videos are absolutely brilliant theyre the type I’ve been looking for for years tbh every other fishing channel show you how to bait up and tie rigs but you really get into the details of how to locate abd what tactics are best. I’ve been trying to learn boat fishing from my rib for the last four years and you really know your stuff thanks! Any chance of a common skate video or porbeagle?
Thanks for the kind comments! Hugely appreciated! I try my best to cover all aspects from start to finish. I have 3 skate videos although not up to my standard really. Kayak, big boat and my little Poly. There is also blue shark fishing film on the channel which can be used to help you catch porgies to! Hope you find them useful mate
Hi,thanks for your videos im learning a lot,i bought a 330 m and 6hp engine but havnt taken it out to sea yet ,i was wondering ,how did you know what channel use on your radio to contact that other boat please ?
I have completed my VHF radio course and I’d advise others to do the same or at least have a read up on marine vhf usage. C16 is the channel all boats should be monitoring and listning to so chose this channel. It’s also the calling and emergency channel so was ideal for this scenario.

Another extremely watchable film with great tips and instruction Jake. Very well done with the catch return too. Can I ask, what weight and trace length for the boom and skerries eel set up? I'm guessing around 5 ounce and 10 feet? Do you use mono or fluoro and what strength for the lure trace? Hope to catch up with you out there soon :-)
Good evening thanks for the watch and kind comments! Means a lot so thank you! The weight on my boom depends on the tide. Is can vary from 6oz to 16oz. Tide, depth of water varies my decision. On this day the 8oz ball weight was fine. Your aim is to be in contact with your weight at all times and for the weight to be under the boat. Not drifting away from it or away from it if that makes sense. So have different weights and see what you can get away with. Lenght of trace I chnage up, small tides around the 6/7ft mark, but around slack bring it to about 4ft. Big tides I extend the lenght up to about 10ft but have gone 12ft at times. Longer traces really do work well when you can use them. Fluro is my preference. It’s invisible in the water. 30lb my usual but have taken it to 50lb and bullied them a little more on the days the big fish are causing issues. Hope that helps and any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask
It’s great fun having a small boat! Have a look at the Tuffy 300 boat if you have space for a trailer. Much easier to use and enjoy than a SIB! Hopefully see you on the water one day and compare our catches! Tight muscles
Thanks mate! I don’t take money or take people out on this little boat. There is plenty of charters all over the country though that take you out and provide all the equipment you need to catch lots of fish mate
Hi Jake… Good unboxing vid… I like is the battery is all encased within the radio. But saying that if you get a problem with the charging connections you could just buy another battery…. maybe? Look forward to the test of time vid… B🤓
Great video! Can I ask where this is? You say at the beginning the "east something quarter". Looks great for squid fishing and would like to give it a try! Thank you mate.
