I don't have baby powder, but I do have corn starch and a silcone thing that goes on the top of my cup to steep herbal tea. Needless to say, part of my table is a powdery mess! Thank you for the delightful video. I enjoyed watching and doing.
When I do my coffee dyed papers I staple a piece of parchment paper to two sheets of newspaper. I have a stack of them LOL This way I dye them right on the parchment and set it aside. No moving 😊
These lace papers are amazing, Shannon! I have been making these like crazy since I saw Kellys video and you gave me even more ideas. Is making lace paper addictive? I made the second glue batch runnier, it was easier to work with. Tfs & the inspiration!
It's 2 am and I'm making these 😂 Do you think corn starch would work as baby powder on the gel plate? I have only found baby powder with talc in it. Asking the chemist...
Hello from Cousin Roberta. Just watched the lace paper video. Am very anxious to make the paste and try the lace paper journal cover. Your talents are really shining. Hugs
That is really cool. What a great way to use up some of those papers that may not be perfect, but would look good very distressed. Thanks for sharing your creation with us! It has been a while since I've watched one of your videos. :) Have a great week!
I'm going to sneak over to my neighbor's and snip, snip. LoL! Just kidding, I'm going to ask her. She has some nice house plants and pretty flowers in her yard which I don't have either. We just took care of her cat for a week while she was gone so she can't say no. Giggle.
Love it and I did 1st see this on the other channel you were talking about but I can't remember her name either😊 I do want to find how you make your covers soft I hope I can find it❤ good job
Genius idea. Today's Quote: “Do all the good you can, for all the people you can, in all the ways you can, as long as you can.” - Hillary Clinton. I shared video. Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞
Love this, Shannon! Thanks so much for sharing the technique! I especially love the book page with vintage photo! So lovely grungy! You’re the best, Shannon! ❤
Definitely have to try this with all my painty papers I have made and have done nothing with and I have glycerine for that project that I couldn’t remember what it was for 😂😂.. nice job on showing us mess ups and all, that’s why I love watching you lol.. 💜💜✌️
This looks like fun! What a great way to make an awesome cover! You might want to take a look at Kari Gibson Art. She did a video on her RU-vid channel about a year ago, called Distressing Paper to make Fabric. It’s a somewhat similar idea, but she uses her sewing machine to sew on a paper napkin or tissue paper. Then wets it to brush away the paper to make the holes. No glue. You might find it interesting. She also has a great channel! Thanks for sharing! 😃❤️
Shannon, I can't believe it. I watched you back when... Someone reminded me of you and so I've looked you up again. Hey, girl I love your hair. You are beautiful. I'm not so beautiful. But, I'm 77 years young too. Well, you're still doing wonderful art. I love your channel and all you do. Thanks for still being there, here...The End!!🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋
❤ We're so glad we saw from beginning to end. The Fun we had seeing and learning together. The enjoy in learning something new and trying on thinking outside the box . news ways too create. Ty for sharing 💓looking forward on learning more.
Thank you! I'm a disabled crafter who counts on others to help with the leg work. Making eco-prints the traditional boiled way is something I've wanted to try, but couldn't because collecting the plant material and the actual soaking and boiling is time consuming and not something anyone at my house is willing to help me do. This is a much less intense process though, and I think I will be able to get some help to try it! I'm excited!
