I love this interview!!! Omg so exciting for the next book …. Luther one of my favourites MMC!! ❤❤❤ Congrats girls for an amazing interview, Penn is lovely !!
The Stone Mother myth sounds a lot like Rhys and Feyre. Feyre basically had to kill Tamlin under the mountain and she did. As he had a heart of stone. It is possible that this was just a little Easter egg from SJM on where she got some inspiration for ACOTAR and weaved it in. However, it is suspicious why she would put that in the bonus chapter of HOFAS and not the ACOTAR series. And the lonely man does match what Azriel is like in ACOSF. I ship Bryce and AZ hardcore, I feel like they are a great mate match. But I had to play devil's advocate on this one.
lol yes play devils advocate away, we strongly support challenging the theories! 😂 That is true it could be somewhat related to Feyre and Rhys as well, but strange to not bring it up until now. And it’s Bryce’s fave song, that Az humms after. So Inkkke to believe it s about them. My biggest thing is why put this trio together in late 1? It could have been Cass and Nesta, then none of these theories would have happened, but no she made it Az 😂😂❤❤
@@Romantasyreaders I also think there is something more there. I think Bryce's "myth" hasn't played out fully yet. I can't wait for more clue, because I think the bryceriel clues will make even more sense. I need a chapter 54 where Bryce and Azriel admit they suspected it from the start and noone said anything 😭😭😭🙏
what if hunt does hurt Bryce in some way or at least come close that scares her enough that Az can feel it (like rhysand feeling Feyre's terror from Tamlin), and so Az pulls her back to Pythian
I feel like it would be great to see Rhys sense that Az is going through a mating bond and help him understand it or navigate it. Especially with the parallels between Feysand and potentially Bryceriel. With both FMC having to overcome an ex they did love, but no more. Such dynamic could smooth the tension from when he forced Azriel to back off of Elain. "I am sorry I was a jerk, but see ! I knew she was not the one for you, bro." kind of a situation.
what if the reason it's taking so long for the next acotar book is because she is making the next one a TANDEM read with the next CC book and its like Bryce and Az working together between Midgard and Pythian and it needs two books worth of pages for their epic love story omg it would be so good. Also is a way to make sure everyone reads both series if they haven't already...
I mean, I'm getting major spoilers since I put down CC1 because I wasn't feeling the romance, but now I need to continue and read THREE DAMN books of a romance I'm not into in the small hope that Bryce and Az will happen ahhhh
Late to this video but regarding your point about Appollion saying “don’t fall into romanticism” - I have this theory that Hunt wasn’t created to aid Bryce in overthrowing the Asteri alone. She was also created to reopen the Wyrdgate to Prythian as Silene had sealed it 15000 years prior. Therefore, when they were successful in their plan - Hunt did aid Bryce in reopening the Wyrdgate to Prythian at the end of HOSAB - they now can access and conquer Prythian. They are presented as these world saviors but I don’t buy that for a second. Especially since the term “sip from ____ like fine wine” is used not only by Thanatos but is also used to describe the Valg and Asteri/daglan.
You two really clarified certain aspects of this story that was confusing to me. I rated it 4 stars. But after listening to your discussion I had several light bulb clarity moments. Thanks for this video.
@@Romantasyreaders :) I loved it so much when RY hinted at Imogen being aware of Garrick's feelings. Onyx Storm is going to be such an epic book! Probably filled with a lot of heartbreak as well...
Bjorn is giving Tamlin for me. If Freya forgives him for aiding in the slaughter of her people she’d be giving in to her Hel side. Thus being death and destruction to all. King Harald being alive at the end is completely glossed over. It’s not mentioned that he’s a child of a god so he should have been dragged down with everyone else, yet the vines stayed away from him 🤔 My prediction is he is a child of Jörmungandr (god of war) and is trying to bring about Ragnarok, along with his sister Hel. My hope is we get a new love interest
Wooo that’s so interesting and a great argument. It’s going to be so interesting to see what we get in book 2! I am always down for a new love interest. Always!😂
@@Romantasyreaders thank you 😊 for a moment I thought I heard Dain’s name and was afraid she passed a question that ask if there were going to be a triangle 😂
It took me ages to get into When The Moon Hatched because I found the world building so complicated. I couldn’t get past chapter 4 and had to go back to the beginning 5x before I could really get into it. I’m so glad I preserved because it’s the best book I’ve read this year.
I recommend just accepting that you won’t know anything for the first 10 chapters, but by chapter 15 you will be obsessed. You can reread the beginning after 😂😂
That was me!! I flew up to Sydney, got her to sign 9 of my books and went to the Melbourne event. And as a special prize, I also got Covid for my efforts. I feel like I’m going to die, friends.
I just spent 2 days at SupaNova, Sydney and had Rebecca sign 8 books. It was hectic and so worth it. Flying home to Melbourne tomorrow and can’t wait for her Melbourne event. So disappointed she’s not signing at this event, which is why I flew to Sydney. I attended her panel at SupaNova and man did she give teasers. I can’t wait for Onyx Storm. See you there.
Such a great interview. I have to say, it was really hard to find Saskia - I had to do so many searches. Sassverse lead to all the wrong places. No one says THE sassverse. Never found a podcast. Links would be really helpful
Interesting theory! I’m going to have to reread now that I’m finished. We know that signets are based on need. Violet’s #1 need is to keep others safe. Premonition makes sense for that, but I’m still pondering 🙈
We have definitely theorised that the horn on her back could start having a ‘negative effect’ and may impact her. We wonder if that is even why Az was so desperate to get it off her.
Yay we are so happy to hear that!! There is alot of evidence, and I can’t unsee the evidence. I truly believe this is canon, everyone I know that is a bryceriel has the ‘click’ where is all come together aka Heir of Fire
Thank you for your hard efforts to bring a positive spin on CC series. Honestly I rate the whole series about 3🌟 and that is not because I had different expectations. It’s because the writing got progressively worse and rushed. IMHOI would drop the whole series Ithan story line starting from book #2 completely. Sofie’s story could be condensed and the Tharion part needed to be explored more or removed as well. Why? Because this characters had nothing with the major plot line. SJM could have later released a novella about this characters under the title of The House of Many Waters. Cormac on another hand could have been written as Ophion agent coming to Lunathion under the cover of meeting Bryce as his fiancée. He could have established the cover and met with Ruhn- to get to Day undercover and so on . Sofia could still be his girlfriend who die. Baxian as Danika’s mate could have provided the info about the Asteri and his background, becoming friendly with Bryce. Then the whole team could have gone in on a mission. The male characters mostly useless- they actually accomplished nothing useful except training Bryce and getting her in trouble. Mind you she could have done better than few teleportation lessons from Cormac. Villains were more cartoonish- we never saw what other Asteri could do besides Rigelus. The battle was short and we never got to see how the 2nd Asteri got killed and by whom. Overall unsurprisingly most characters never developed to satisfactory degree- they were just a background to Bryce dragging them along to find the truth and reacting as bystanders. Just Ruhn and Lydia got some action besides Hunt bowling the core. The Hel did the rest- I guess that was SJM answers to all plot holes. Too bad- the original idea was good, just the execution is mediocre. I think TOG still holds the top series overall. Just putting my PO. You’re welcome to write your own POV and I’ll go to read Nalini Singh for my angel fix or other supernatural shifters🪽🗡️🤞🏻📖
That is such a good point you raise! All these additional characters, perhaps could have easily been condensed. Either we didn’t get enough hints that these characters will be of significant importance later. Otherwise cut them. Less is more sometimes ❤❤
@@Romantasyreaders Thank you for your comment. Yes, with all the additional characters and their stories, I feel that the main character (was she really the one? ) Bryce was not that prominent in the trilogy. In reality we never got HER story- that would have been a development of her as leader, learning to use her newfound powers, developing relationships with others. What we got - Bryce stumbling around and reacting to different situations that was imposed on her by others. How many times did she wonders what exactly Danika hiding from her? SJM wrote about cast of mishmash characters and called it Bryce & Hunt love story. Sorry, I think I missed that part where they fall in love. Looking back on turbulent times Bryce had with Hunt, it poses a question: why are they together? The extent of sharing power doesn’t really mean intimacy- that’s why in CC#3 they are at odds with each other and we left with uncomfortable feelings about them. Are they going to last or there’s someone else for Bryce?
Not sure about you guys, but Hunt was giving me Tamlin vibes the whole time. To be honest, I never understood why Bryce in a 1st book was trying to get Hunt free from Archangel after he pulled the drug deal with Viper queen and got caught. Hunt still had a feelings for the dead Archangel Shahar. He was tearing up when the Mech suit piloted by Shahar walked towards him- he knew who that was right away and never questioned the actions of the Archangel. On the other hand he had a pointless fight with Bryce about her not sharing thoughts and plans with him. Bryce went with her gut feelings and reactions, not everything was planned out. All other characters were just coming along for a stroll - their input was minimal, just to be a hostage material for kings to hold over. Hunt and Bryce in book #2 just got rash by Autumn king plans of engagement with Cormac. If they left to continue with their relationship, who knows how that turned out. Hunt never really got any plans for a family. He knew that with Asteri around he would be the fighter/ assassin to the end of his life. I never believed him about his family plans with Bryce that he dreamed of in the Asateri palace. Have we heard anything about that before? Nope, he never discussed children either, till Bryce brought it up in bonus chapter. There was other stuff in all books. Just think how he never thought about her for 2 years after the demon attack on letting her walk bear feet out of the interrogation room. He never cared till Mica dangling cutting his kill down. Look at how he treated Bryce as his job, not a person who lost her friends and had trauma. And yet everyone holds her accountable for her actions and decisions about Hunt in book #3. Think about that they got married less than a month. Bonus chapter is 2 months after Asteri are gone and they got married on autumn equinox party just because her father forced them IMHO.
Wow I LOVE THIS!!! Amazing pick up!! Yes 100% Hunt is the new Tamlin, he may even be worse! It doesn’t feel genuine from Hunt, it’s like he has to keep telling himself, and he is just always Bryce Bryce Bryce. It’s more obsession than a healthy loving relationship. Most of us forgot they were married because it was so rushed. My theory is hel made him to siphon the starborn power, but he has a dark side and that may come out next book. I also keep thinking about Cassian and Nesta’s reaction to Hunt and the ‘flinch’
@@Romantasyreaders And right now Hunt with the books that Jesiba left to Bryce, and which have very interesting info. He can pull off Pelias and do some research 🧐. He loves to read, right? Also what is telling for me, is that Bryce asked the Hel princess if they plan her and Hunt to be mates- she questions that after her trip and meeting with Azriel. Powder pull and mix aside, sex could be just the side benefit of what Hunt was design to complement her, and I don’t think that this sits good with Hunt. He needs more, he’s general just like Pelias was.
@@ksenias.8246yes. 100% a every is that history is repeating and we have Theia, Aidas and Pelias all reincarnated again. The books is a great call out OMG!!
Yes he totally has a ‘feral’ mode, they said he was tuning into the mates bond, but I think it might have been something different. He has his umbra mortis mode we see with Celestina and he says ‘he would never hurt Bryce’ and we talk about this with the Stonemother theory in the next episode. I might go consult my ‘experts’, as we haven’t broken down what happened to Hunt in that HOSAB scene. ❤
@@Romantasyreaders Hunt has tamper, not a “my mate is in trouble “ mode. Think about the fight between Bryce and kings in the tunnel: when Baxian told him to go and help Bryce , his response was - she doesn’t need me. Definitely not the caring mate response. And with Archangel Celestina in Nena, Hunt goes in the rage just as she questions him- Bryce isn’t in trouble then. It all about him at that point- him being bitter and torched.
@@ksenias.8246yes absolutely! If you are on Instagram follow me @bookloveaholic and if you are interested we have a group that is discussing all this currently. If you need a place to debrief 😂
@@ksenias.8246 I’m not convinced that his response to the Hind in HOSAB is just his temper, but I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more evidence. There are examples where Rhys doesn’t help Feyre either - the Weaver is one I can think of off the top of my head (I’m sure there are others).
