@@evilfungas I 50% agree. There are definitely great tracks in the base game. Godfrey, Radagon, Morgott, Mohg, Godrick all have amazing soundtracks. But things like the drakes or the majority of open world bosses just don't have memorable tracks with the exception being the Tree Sentinels. The DLC definitely stepped up the notch. Almost every boss theme is a banger or unique in some way
I don’t mean this as an insult to elden ring but it sort of does. At least in the more modern catalog. I think it would rank third overall behind 1. Bloodborne and 2. DS3. These DLC tracks are really good. Romina, Rhadan and Messmer as so good imo. But if we’re going to compare I don’t think anything has yet to top Lawrence, SoC, Twin Princes, or Lady Maria. But this track is still great and one of their best
I love this OST so much because you can feel the hopelessness and desperation Messmer must be feelinga at having devoted his entire life to please a mother who avandoned him, an endless fight for something that he may not even understand himself, leading to so many people hating him and seeing him as a villain, all of it ending in the bitter realization that his own mother would allow for what he fought in her name to kill him and rise into lordship. Truly tragic shit, i really feel bad for this guy maybe more than any other DLC boss
He, and Rellana also. Rellana was just trying to court Messmer, but Messmer never really seemed to be interested in any romantic matters, probably weighed down by his duty.
He's gotta be the saddest character in the whole game, maybe along maliketh. He is so tragic that he reminds me a lot of the themes around ds3. Even Morgott who got shunned by the very order he loved and wanted to protect, in the end, would be granted grace by the erdtree for his efforts. Messmer instead dies in a pitiful way: killed by the very thing his mother once told him to destroy, abandoned by her in a realm of death, surrounded by sin and crimes, all commited in the name of her very mother who would then betray him.
Oh, don't worry. Cheese or no cheese this is a fight that you just have to repeat. I'm quite sure I beat him "fairly", but still feel like I need a second round.
Bro that climax was so intense during the fight. He used his ultimate snake attack during it and I was rolling like crazy and then he ended it with the big explosion and I won after punishing him 😮💨😌

It's literally a spiral towards doom for messmer. A tarnished who apparently is CHOSEN by his mother to become lord suddenly appears in his quarters. Last he heard of, before he got abandoned by his mother, all those who were graceless were to be persecuted. He came to the shadowlands to carry out this task assigned to him by Marika, until she abandoned him, leaving him trapped in there along all of his sins. And the first thing he finds out when he finally comes in contact with someone from the lands between after centuries is that now Marika is choosing the tarnished to be the next lord? He basically just got betrayed a second time by her own mother. To the point where in second phase he realizes he has nothing to lose, so he just destroys the seal of grace made by her very mother to protect him, and unleashes his curse , the serpent, in its full power.
@@kurokaen1234 I mean that is pretty subjective, I for one quite like alot of the ost in the basegame, like morgott, malektih and radabeasts ost. They are coincidentally also my favorite bosses in the base game (honorable mention to mogh, and Melania).
xDDD wow first comment is on how my weapon choices suck. Yeah Ik it's sht, same as the drill, tho I only learnt that it aint worth it recently, I thought it functioned identical to the normal one but just dealt more damage. I was wrong xD o well
