i really could use someones help, i did everything you said. but still if i export it. its turning out not the same beautiful colors as in premier pro...
@@vvk4life 1. are you updated with the most current version of PP? 2. What color space did you shoot in? Are you using the same color space in your sequence and export? Those are the things I see brought up the most when still seeing issues
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I have recorded with a iPhone and I always have this problem to Premiere exports a video with "overlights". It might solve my problem!!!!
I think the iphone auto -chooses an HDR color space, so make sure you're creating your sequences with those correct color spaces as well and then finally exporting in the same color space. Thank you for the comment!

@@AlyenasKitchen thank you so much for the comment! I hope it helps. If you're working with 10bit footage you can bring down the exposure and the highlights. If it's 8bit, It might be you harder
So I found out after color grading that the footage is rec 709 but my sequence is hlg. Is there another way besides having to color grade all over again?
Which part didn't work? Did you try uninstalling everything, restarting and reinstalling? Are you running windows? Which one? There are a lot of factors

Ok now that sucks I was in the middle of leaving a comment and forgot I had to pause the vid and the end roll ad broke thru my ad blocker and I have to start over!
I have add blocker on my computer, However I have not been able to find a way to install it on my smart tv. I have learned that if I restart a video enough ( 3-6 times) it will start playing! I have also learned that if the ad say skip in 5 sec it is better just to skip ppp it!
Wish I had seen this before I bought it... Went to france and got the "pleasure" of seeing it fall tons of times without any sort of rough handling whatsoever....

At 2:29 minutes into your video, you mentioned that in the settings of Lumetri Color, to go down to 'Sequence' and make sure that it is set to Rec 709, but it is all greyed out for me, and I can't change it. How do I make that active to make the change?
Just to make sure - early in the video I explained why you MIGHT need Rec709 - if you don't, then you shouldn't need to change it, however if you do need it to be Rec709 there might be a tickbox that allows you to change it.
@@AmberBlase glad the project was safe. I have my auto save set to 7 minutes. It can be annoying at times but saves my ass all the time when prempro decides to mess up. I bought a keyboard as well that have customizable buttons on the side (it's a gaming keyboard but I don't game) and I set the buttons to save, open specific windows in prempro, export stills, create nests, etc. This has helped me a lot over the years and the saving issue has been engrained .... Sorry for the soapbox,

I do it the same way! I like not being alone lolol. If I want 2.35 bars, I simply uncheck the uniform scale and lower the scale height to 75% (I use a Sirui (SOO-ray) 1.25x adapter on my sphericals) So 25% wider? K. 75% of the height then. Boom :) If I want the full 2160 height (no 2.35 bars) then I do it your way and also...boom! :P
By the looks of the comments i must be the only one for whom this didn't work. I've not had trouble playing 10 bit 4.2.2 but could never get thumbnails. I followed your direction to the letter but to no avail. Very frustrating
I understand that sometimes it doesn't work (after reading the comments for a while). I'm sorry it didn't show up right. Have you tried uninstalling it all and retrying? I'm not sure it will work, but I hope

I can understand about the stress with Adobe however, it all comes down to what works best for you. There is not one thing is best in life, right? If you're finding capcut working, that's awesome!! I've been on PremPro since I started editing in 2001 and when Avid combined with them, it made the program so much better. I tend to work on really intensive client work that requires a lot of different aspects so PremPro has been the best option for me. Keep killing it!!!
I just tried this & it worked, very easy. It will save me tons of time & effort on future projects. Nice, simple, calm & to the point presentation, no pointless bombast & clearly shows you each step instead of, as some tutorials do, just saying something like ''Do blah, then blah blah then jargon jargon blah' assuming you know what hell they're talking about but not showing it. Thank you sir.
I was actually getting ready to teach my class before the semester started and I was messaging around in the settings (new laptop for teaching) and saw the section. So I tried it and then I googled it on the Adobe forums and manuals
