Georgia, Georgia, I love your son And when he gets older, he might be the one He might be the one Georgia, Georgia, he has beautiful bones And he never lies or picks up his phone And sometimes in the pouring rain He'll fall in the mud and get back up again And if you find me Will you know me? Will you take me Or will you fall? Here is my day plan, here's my new machine He is a fine new addition, so young and so clean So young and so clean He came up through the water without a sound With my back to the shoreline, I dreamt that he drowned I dreamt that he drowned And sometimes, when he looks at me I know he needs you, you're all that he sees And if I breathe you Will it kill me? Will you have me Or watch me fall? If I fix you Will you hate me? And would you fuck this And let us fall?
Just heard Dave Alvin today on XM radio & now found his videos on RU-vid. Lovin' it all! Just what I need to make it through 2 more weeks of teaching middle schoolers!!!
Wow......just found this......or the RU-vid algo found me. Maybe the best Blasters show you can find. Thses guys were so great. What a great sound. Even though Dave's chops got a lot better, this rocks so great. And brother Phil's blue shouter vocals!.......Damn....
I've been a foaming Dave Alvin fan. Dave looking hot in that red bandana! But this is the first Blasters video I've seen. I'm rockin' from home! Boarder Radio so hopped up!
There are not many good original lineup Blasters vids to be found. But you should check out the Blasters doing Farm Aid in '85. Great performane.....really big sound......."Marie Marie" and "American Music" kick serious ass. More if a punkier, hyper full force sound than here.
I got to see Dave in Salem Oregon with The Paladins & Portland Oregon couple times early 2000 as The Hacienda Brothers. I purchased their CD. Played it all the time. Great band nice people. Chris RIP had this very unique voice & Dave a true showman on guitar. And the the whole band was a tight act.
I photographed the Blasters back in the late 80's. They were very kind and gracious; even though they must've been exhausted after they put on a kickass show!
