A very warm & creative welcome! If you've been following me on Instagram, you'll know that I sell journaling stickers, washi tapes, Liberty bias binding, beads & threads by day and love to quilt, slow stitch and embroider by night.. I do enjoy other crafts, although there's never really enough hours in the day, is there.. Since the spring I've also been involved with charity quilting for Project Linus, so I'm sure I'll be sharing some of those quilty adventures here soon, too!
Thank you for spending your time with me and I look forward to 'seeing' you again soon for more fabric fun!
And that would be the end to my sewing career (i dont even know how!) ... i would never be able to put it back together! Maybe this is how the "zig zag" stitch was created!!!!
Haha.. indeed! ❤️ It was a great suggestion by you & Jane and I can't wait for everyone to make lots of these super fun and colourful blocks soon. Maybe this short video will help the newbies in the group. Happy quilting! 🙋♀️
These are so fabulous and love the tutorials. Any tips on if you make too big??? Can you make shorter without cutting section out as have already joined? Thank you
Oh crikey, that’s a good question.. I guess you could wrap more fabric around to make it thicker. That will reduce the available space for your hand to fit through and make the fit less loose. Or you could add more stitching along the length (as opposed to going round like the coils) and really pull the thread tight, almost to the degree that you’re creating ruffles. That will not only give you gorgeous texture, but also pulling the bracelet in a bit. Does that make sense? I hope that helps! If I think of another way, I’ll let you know. Thanks so much for watching! Happy stitching 🙋♀️🪡🧵
Thank you so much. I’ve tried pulling it in a bit. I think I’ll just make another and make sure that one is smaller then I will wear the larger one at the back so hopefully the smaller one stops it from slipping off. Worst case I’ll just find someone with a larger wrist and gift 😂 They were a joy to make so am sure will not be stopping at one. Thank you again for your helpful tips
@@bluebellhillcrafts thNk you for fast reply...so excited to make these..looked at the shop online you mentioned to another person.but couldn't figure out which option you purchased..any info would be greatly appreciated..
I stamp them - you can find the demo of how I do them in the full video on these quilted Christmas cards here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SJVND4ZONk8.html Thanks so much for watching! 🙋♀️
Yes, they're done with stamps on watercolour paper, as shown in this tutorial here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SJVND4ZONk8.html I hope you'll give this a go! Have fun 🤩
Hi, I’m a new subscriber and I love your quilt, it’s beautiful the fabrics are gorgeous, are they a complete range? I’m looking forward to watching your other videos, thank you for sharing ❤
Hello and a very warm welcome! Yes, all the fabrics I used for the quilt are by Morris & Co. for FreeSpirit fabrics. Most were from the ‘Emery Walker’ collection. I did blend in a couple of other classic Morris patterns. Thank you so much for following along and I look forward to ‘seeing’ you again soon 😍🙋♀️
Thanks very much for the lovely feedback! I’ve had the cord for ages and don’t have the packaging anymore, but my best guess is that it is a 3mm nylon cord. I purchased 4mm cotton cord for the rope bowl tutorial (wanting to switch to a natural fibre) and that would work as well for the bangles. The nylon cord is stiffer, so I’d do a bit more stitching over a cotton cord for a bangle to give it structure. Or wrap the base fabric a bit tighter, perhaps. Happy creating! 🤷♀️
Mira - all your creations are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Will continue watching more as you post.
I wonder if you happen to know if this group has regulations on the fabric content of their quilts? I have small pieces of various children’s prints leftover from sewing for my children that I would love to see put to good use. They are cotton/poly fabrics however, not the traditional 100% cotton usually used for quilting. What do you think? Perhaps you could share how to contact this group for more information? Thank you for sharing your quilts; I’m sure they will be well-loved.
Thank you so much for thinking of Project Linus to donate your fabrics to! To contact them, the best thing would be to search for Project Linus + the country you live in and that should give you some ideas of where local (to you) groups are based. Quite often you also have independent or guild quilters’s groups who sew for Project Linus and know who to pass fabrics to. Regarding the fabric composition- it would depend on what they do local to you. Speaking for our group, we might use a poly cotton mix for binding rather than mixing it into the quilt top, but it depends really on how much you have left and how the fabric handles (what the ratio is between cotton and polyester). If it’s mostly cotton and not too stiff and you have a fair amount there, it might be enough for a small quilt top in its own right.. There are sometimes fabrics amongst our donations that are not suitable for quilting for various reasons and then we use it to make other things with that can be sold at craft fairs to raise funds to purchase more wadding/ batting, for example. I hope this helps! 🙋♀️😍
So viele verschiedene wunderschöne Sachen hast du gemacht.
I so enjoyed this review. There appear to be some projects I missed! I don't know how, but they slipped by me. It's been a wonderful year of projects and inspiration. You wouldn't know you were a beginner at producing videos, on a steep learning curve! Content and production both A1! I have made several things resulting from your inspiration already this year and look forward to making a few more before Christmas! A huge thank you for sharing your hard work and creativity. 💖💖💖
