From someone who has lost a loved one to addiction this film hit hard. I thought it was beautifully made and really showed the journey of the family and what they go through.
Same - so sad Blake was like that to the interviewer. When you decide to be a public person, you can expect people to congratulate you on big life events.
Wow, just checked and you’re right. Well, the comments from eight years ago (around 2016) are edited. The more recent ones don’t seem to be edited, though. Interesting.
In a perfect world, I would've made this film in the late 90's or early 2000's sticking to the characters from Hal Asby's screen adaptation, Peter Bogdanovich directing and bringing back Nicholson, Quaid and Otis Young. And if Otis Young wasn't well enough to reprise his role, I would've cast O.J. Simpson... Like I said, "In a perfect world"
You know what's weird? It was hard to watch this movie Initially because it was based on Shia LaBeouf's abusive childhood now it's hard to watch because Shia actually made everything up his dad never hit him😅 Talk about an emotional rollercoaster 😂🤣 Good movie though
I‘m only four minutes in and this lady is a walking case of an undiagnosed, untreated neurotransmitter deficiency. The symptoms are textbook, yet the awful doctor is ignoring all of them.
I have lived that life with my son for REAL ! And he & I came on top of the addiction , But we went through HELL & back ! I LOVE YOU MY SONSHINE more than LIFE !!!
I just watched this for like the fourth time and it hits me different each time. I cannot recommend this movie enough! It is absolutely breathtaking, beautiful and gut wrenching all at the same time. “When life knocks you to your knees, and it will, stand us back up”.
I just started watching this film and i had to pause and come search for the trailor, so that i could comment this ... Jonah hill is an incredible actor who gets unrecognised for his acting skills. Up untill now i was also only considering him for his comedic performances. But oh man.. he is some hidden gem. Polish polish polish.... Holiwood bring it out !!
In the end, a 19-yeard old Algerian golddigger persuaded her to sell her apartment to help him open a restaurant in Barcelona. She did, off they went to Spain and no surprise, she came back to Paris humiliated and on the run from an abuser. Don't believe men when they say they like you if you happen to be rich, girls.
He said 'I'm trying to fill the huge hole inside of me'' We have an infinite hole inside us and only infinity can fill it. Because we are apart from God our heart and soul screams out for Him, screams for home, for love, for purpose. And you can't find those things outside of Him. ''Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above'' You need something to hold onto that never changes, you need something that is always truthful, always loving, and has a plan for you. And that is our Creator.

For those of you who haven't seen Basketball Diaries, Requium for a Dream, or Train Spotting, you need to watch those movies. They will really give you nightmares about drug addiction, but it's as close to the real thing as it gets.
