my favorite rpg, once I hit max level it was ball game for every boss except that bee queen , that queen had to been at over 9000 . If you want to play this on PS2 there is full voice acting on the PC remaster , graphics are great but no voice acting.
Harada-San has exquisite taste in video games. 👺👍🏽 Abobo sounding like a drunken Homer Simpson tossing Billy Lee around like a bag of trash lives rent free in my head.
@@mediaglitch Katsuhiro Harada. The main man behind the Tekken video game series. Someone on Twitter asked him what his favorite retro game was and his example was a link to your Double Dragon 🐉 video. He’s basically video game royalty. He interacts with/ his fan base regularly. He’s the man. Congratulations. It’s a great video.
Holy smokes eternal champions! That game takes me way back. Renting it from blockbuster not knowing what I was getting into and executing those crazy fatalities by accident 😂
Awesome review! Cant go wrong with with Bitmap Books. But to answer your question, there's so many good box arts out there. Ninja Gaiden II is currently in my NES. The Dragon art is super cool. The secret of evermore on Super NES also rings a bell. Seeing that huge bug monster with the little boy and his dog.
You took me way back with that Karnov footage. That art is pretty amazing. I was always terrible at Karnov but i loved the secretive nature of the things you could get and find. To this day ive never beaten Karnov. If I remember correctly, the box art on the back for this game had a picture of a level that was actually deleted from the game and was never put in it. The arcade machine was solid too from what i remember but im not sure how different it is to the NES version after all this time. Congratulations! The End
Awesome book! And yes, Sega should bring back eternal champions, or any fighting game for that matter. Sega used to put out a lot of good fighting games.
spent 6 US$ on it yesterday, already played 7hrs, its paid for itself already and half that was training cuz i havent played since the fking VITA lmfao (crafting/new weapons and the ropes/jetpacks are gamechangers esp vehicles but i like u can still play classic mode like the OG, its a lil too much atleast till i get the feel back for it haha
I read all your comments, but I’m just gonna reply to one. Thanks for your input on the game. I played this game years ago and I can’t remember much about it but reading your comments almost makes me want to give it another go. Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate it and thanks for your feedback.
they could easily make it easier to move, if they did the games would last a minute smh and so many weapons wouldnt get used, i love when im trapped and have to get creative i get it, its not a gamplay loop for everyone, i hate rpg's so even the best would be bad for me & clearly even the best worms games bad 2 you tho fwiw i spent 6$ USD on it on switch
the core gameplay just isnt for everyone, controls arent the issue, its part of what makes it intereesting cuz the enviroments leave weird spots but being able to jump/double jump helps plus ninja ropes and jetpacks but being able to move them too easily would mean the games would last like 2mins
the movement is part of it, itd be unbalanace if u could just fly around every time BUT they added the ninja rope and jetpacks etc so you can zip across maps during a turn if u want on WMD
Awesome book, as everything published by Bitmap Books. I'll get one soon, since I just got "From Ants to Zombies" which is awesome as well. I love all these artists that you've shown. One of my all time favorite game box covers was for "Transartica" game by Rodney Matthews. Roger Dean did some cool artworks for Psygnosys as well. I absolutely adore 70's and 80's fantasy and sci fi art. Oh, and Conan the Barbarian is awesome, one of the best soundtracks ever created. Beast Master is awesome as well and so is Krull
Yeah Im a pretty big Beast Master fan, Iv watched it well over 100 times. Your gonna love this book when you do get your hands on it. I hope they make a another one of these because theres so many artist that I would love to see.
I'm definitely getting this book. Frank Cirrocco is my favorite illustrator. I grew up LOVING his videogame box and cabinet artwork. He's the reason I wanted to be an artist. I absolutely love his style. I have a signed ad flyer with the Genesis cover art he did for Final Zone.
Wow thats really cool. Yeah hes one of the goats for sure. Bitmap books made this book for people like you and I . Those who will appreciate the artist we grew up with. Thanks so much for watching and for leaving a comment.
