“Croissant!”😱😱😱Fat cell alert! 🚨🚨🚨⛑️Mayday! Mayday! Croissant on the starboard bow. There she blows! 🥐 According to my calculations I just gained five pounds just by looking at that Croissant. 😩😫😭 Interesting take on how the contemporary style Dim Sum restaurant is different in their style and presentation on the dim sum, it is a little different from your traditional Dim Sum restaurant. But you do pay for that privilege of being difference. I’m old school it about taste and quality. New school is about presentation and taste. Hope you folks are having a wonderful weekend. Take care. 🙏🙏🙏
Our favorite dim sum places are all in Hong Kong. Dim sums we have here can not be compared : / How nice would it be if croissants are 10 calories each, or even we lose weight by eating them. Dang. I would live off croissants 🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐 Weekend is almost over 😩
Hope you folks are having a wonderful and relaxing weekend. As a graphic designer I am always amazed and intrigued by the advertising and signage of Japan. Osaka looks like a city for the young. I’m also a kid at heart. When I was young I had many responsibilities and never had a childhood we were very poor our parents have to work long hours. I became very mature as a kid. My older brother and I had to take care of my l baby brother. We had to change his diaper, bathe him, feed him, and put him to bed and then I had to have the rice cook before our parents came home from work. I was five and my older brother was seven and my baby brother was spoil. Now I can loosen my shoestring and relax. Thanks for the tour of Osaka, I enjoyed it. Have a blessed Sunday. 🙏🙏🙏
The Dotomburi area was as busy as the time square in NY goodness. I love how you said you were 5 your brother was 7 and baby brother was spoiled lol. I never had that chance to be the baby sibling when I was born there was no one before me 😆😆😆 It sounds like you earned it, now you may do the things you held off because life had happened. That sounds like very precious time in a life. Cheers 🥂 The weekend is almost over😩, hope you had a wonderful weekend!
@@hopescape6697 Unfortunately, little bother is still spoil. Now, he’s married a Narcissistic wife. He’s in deep trouble. She wear the pants and he wears the skirts. 😱😞 I learn long ago to step over negative people and their negative perception. They are useless in my book and they don’t help make our society better. They just need attention. You folks make the best of the rest of your day. Take care and have a wonderful week.🙏🙏🙏
@@user-to9fw1wv9l I agree, narcissists are best to stay away from. They stir other people's life and have 0 guilt about their actions. They are only after their need of attentions and create such a stress between relationship in order to get what they desire. It is very tiring to be around those people.
I love the Japanese concept of simplicity and harmony with nature. I am slowly changing the interior of the house into the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi. Have to declutter stuff in the house. If I have not used it in two years out it goes. Just keep what is necessary and organized things better, that means learning to put things away so next time I can find things. Boy I’m beginning to sound like my Dad. 😂 Love the jazz, kind of reminds me of a little dessert cafe in my neighborhood called: “Just Dessert.” It was run by a couple the wife was the barker and the husband managed the business. She made a killer “Kailua Cheese Cake.” I used to go there and have cheese cake and do my homework. Good times.🤔 Take care, be safe and have a blessed week. 🙏🙏🙏
that sounds like a beautiful way to live. I am trying to start with my clothset and hopefully slowly get my life organized as well :) You have a wonderful rest of the week as well 🥰
Love the video of the castle. Also like your choice of music from “Beauty and the Beast.” It fits in very well with your video. Can you go knock on the door of the castle and see if they can let you in so you can record the inside of the castle. 😊 It will be nicer if the flyers had gone through the opening. But I always asking too much.😭 Take care and enjoy, thank you for sharing, have a wonderful week. 🙏🙏🙏
Actually I did tour inside, but it was no photos :/ Ludwig II, the king who built entire castle for him self was bit ambiguous and ran out of money it took him 17yrs built what it is today and he never finished. They opened only the few rooms that is finished to public and he was very artsy man. Also he burrowed so much money building what it is, his family started touring the castle 6 weeks after his sudden mysterious death. This castle is full of very interesting stories I would be making full video soon. The few rooms that are finished are miraculous and the view that we get from the castle is also so beautiful.
@@hopescape6697 Do you mean the family still live in the castle? Wow! That’s why I missed traveling. I always like to learn something new when I travel. Seen pictures of the castle when I was taking fine art classes but never knew what story behind the castle. Thanks and you folks take care and stay safe. 🙏🙏🙏
@@user-to9fw1wv9l No one lives in the castle now, it is just not allowed to take pictures inside. Ludwig II who built the castle had very intersting life and he left few properties behind. I was actually more taken by the other house he used to live which was pretty small but FULLY DECORED to his taste. Again no picture was allowed inside. After seeing these properties which he had built and lived in I got very curious about the guy who built it. Very interesting guy
@@hopescape6697 What! tells me all about it. Always like to learn something new when I travel. My biggest wish is someday I am go to see that famous church in Barcelona, have to get better before I can travel. How are folks doing? Where are you heading off to next? Just finished making “Marco Polo” spaghetti sauce. It a recipe he stolen while he was visiting in China. (it’s not true) At least that’s what I tell all my Italian friends, it does give them a guilty conscience when they say how good the sauce is. 😆😂🤣 Take care and stay safe, see you on your next adventure.🙏🙏🙏
@@user-to9fw1wv9lthat sounds so yum😋 stories do make food taste so much better. Why do you think they give you such a lecture on each food when they serve at the Michelle’s restaurants lol. We are planning Napa, Seoul, Bali and Hokkaido for next couple months nothing is set for sure but we’ll see :) First I must upload all these videos on past year and this year, I don’t even know how long that would take lol. Ps. I think the Sagrada Familia in Spain will finish building in few year. We were there before Covid and probably go see again once it is done building. Though it will have so many tourist come when it finally finishes😱 Have a delicious and restful weekend🥂🍾

@@user-to9fw1wv9lit’s quite surreal here. I’ll be posting full video soon, such a beauty. They seem to have very long ski season too. One of the driver told me ski season starts around December to all way to April.
@@hopescape6697 Afterwards did he say “April Fools” after you paid him. “Wow!” that a long, long skiing season. I used to help my younger brother be a tour guide when he has a large group of police officers coming to visit San Francisco from Europe. Sometimes I would embellish some of the fact, just to make an impression for them to write home about. For instance, Did you know that Lombard Street was one the crookedness street in the world. It was built in the middle 1800’s because horses couldn’t climb up because the street was too steep. So the city curved the street so the horse would not slipped as they climbed up the hill. True fact, what is not true is: “Those flowers on the island is the graves site of all the horse that died going up the hillside.” “Bless their little heart.”😢😭 😆 And then I would take them to the back alley of Chinatown, where you hear nosed of tiles coming from the basement of some of these gambling houses. They are playing Mahjong. They are gambling, that is the truth. “We have to be very quiet and not talk so loud because they don’t like to be disturbed. They will send their hatchet man to keep you quiet.” The truth is they don’t have hatchet men anymore. 😊 “Ain’t I’m a stinker.” Don’t answer that.😆 Have a blessed day.🙏🙏🙏
@@hopescape6697 😆😂🤣 That kind of reminds me of a story that kind of related to this situation. It was the 50’s Anniversary celebration of the building of the Golden Gate Bridge back in 1987. The bridge authority allowed the public to walk across the bridge. There were no vehicles allowed. They estimated there were about Three hundred thousand people was on the bridge. With so many people, the arch on the roadway flattened out and the bridge began to sway from side to side. Some idiot started panicking and he yell out : “There are too many people on this bridge we have to lighten up the load and start throwing some people off the bridge.” I yelled back: “You first!” that shut him up.😆🤣
I’m starting a new hobby I taken over mom collection of exotic tropical houseplants and her orchids collection. She has about twenty orchids and several tropical plants from all over the world. Several came from China and some from the jungle of South America. These small white flowers look beautiful. I bet these flowers have a strong fragrant to it. My problem is, I have a big nose but a very bad sense of smell. The flowers have to have a strong fragrant in order for me to smell anything. Passing gas in a small room is excluded. 😂 Take enjoy your evening. 🙏🙏🙏
Greens do have super power. I collected some cattleyas, bulbophyllum and seedlings of various orchids. They really need like green house here in Southern California. Orchids need humidity , air circulation and the right temp and it’s kind of tough to provide that manually over here. Now I only have few plants left and I feel once I travel less I might get back into it, when I can spend more time consistently. One of the plant I had, would bloom tiny small white flowers, which only at night it will push out the fragrance. It smelled so pretty.
You will have so much fun. Currency is very favorable to foreigners( especially dollar holder) right now and just food and culture is beautiful! Have a blast and hope you build good memories for your family!
Words of warning from someone who has been in the Navy. Never feed seagulls, they have no gratitude, they will poop on you after you feed them. 🤢😩 “Look, up in the sky, it’s a plane, no it’s a flock of seagulls, run for your life!” 🤣 It is so nice to see you folks are building future memories together. Thank you :) That is a beautiful house you living in 132 windows? 😮 always loved house with big windows. Yes, I thought Canlis was very Frank Lloyd. It is actually built by Roland Terry and was built to feel like a home. I try to deliver the experience more than anything. I feel numbers and crystal clear images all over internet, but the essence and experience are less shared.
This house was mom second house she ever built. She was 77 when she started this project. She would let me know what she wanted in the house and I would held design it for her. For instance, she wanted all windows in the back of the house, because of views of the airport and the bay. For the ground floor of house she don’t want any walls just an open space designed, she also wanted an around fireplace to be viewed from both, the living room and the dining room. In the master bedroom, she wanted an walk in shower. She had chosen Venetian glass tile. (pink tiles glass.) This house will be mom legacy in what she accomplished in America. From working in sweatshops to become a property owner. She build her first house when she was 27, a four unit apartment house in San Francisco. This is from being a farm daughter in China with no education, and work hard, to accomplish what she has. That’s why I respect her so much. In the new house, I was able to utilize my design degree and help put the house together for her, along with the Architect. Mom and I design the interior for the house. It is based on the streamlined design, from the Hollywood Art Deco stage production back in the 20’s and 30’s style, very clean lines. Mom wanted no wall in the ground floor, just open space, it made the house feel and look larger. We have 13 foot windows in the back of the house. Come to think about it, it feels like we are living in a green house with all these windows. Great for tropical rainforest plants. No swinging vine. 😆 We did our own interior design because in the end the Architect stop listening to our ideas. Mom received most of her inspiration from going to see model homes, when they have open house showing and just remember what she likes and what she doesn’t like. I think the features of the house that stand out the most is her walk in shower room. When the sunlight coming in from the skylight and hits the shower glass tile the shower room just sparkling. This house is a going to be a legacy of our accomplishments. Now the house needed some work, I had been caring for mom since she was bedridden for the last five years before her passing. Now that I have more time, time to get to work. I feel like Snow White and Dwarf. “Hi ho, hi ho we’re off to work we go.” So that is about it, I love this house still have a lot of maintain work to do but it will be done. Take care you two and have a blessed Sunday.🙏🙏🙏

Amazing video. You captured the essence of the restaurant. I enjoy the ice cube, attention to detail. This restaurant is all about the food and not about the quantity. 😂 “Happy belated Birthday!” Nice view of Seattle night lights. The restaurant looks similar to the house we are living now. We have all windows and the back of the house where we have the view of the SFO International AirPort and our window is also slanted. The house is based on Frank Lloyd Wright philosophy of organic architecture, bringing nature into the house. There are a hundred thirty two windows in the house. Take care enjoy your weekend. 🙏🙏🙏
European love their sausage! Does it taste anything different from U.S. sausage? I figure US sausage are more saltier and more spicier. What do you folks think? Take care and have a blessed weekend. 🙏🙏🙏
These sausages are nothing like it in states. I feel Europeans take sausage making more serious. This is definitely worth it to try even with the long wait each time we went. It is more flavorful and less salty, just better quality sausage. Even the pickle was less salty but very good. Now I am not sure if all of the places make it like this, but this place is definitely worth it to try even w the long wait.
@@hopescape6697 That’s what I miss about traveling. Experiencing the food and culture of the host country. But I have my memories and photographs to reminiscing by. 🧐 Dad was a butcher, he told us not to eat hot dogs or sausages here in the states, because of what they put in them. That’s reason why they used so much salt and spicy, to camouflage what meat parts they put in. 🤢🤮 I think that’s why the European take pride in making their sausages. It’s not all about profit. 🤑🤑🤑 Take care and have a blessed weekend.🙏🙏🙏
@@user-to9fw1wv9l I can't agree more. I usually don'y eat sausage back home because it just doesn't feel like real food. Also anytime the food is not as simple as it should be and fully covered in spices and seasonings, I try to stay away from those. I believe real food should have simple fresh ingredients and if we try we can find that types of food in every price point. It is really the philosophy of the maker who makes that type of food. 🙏🏼thank you, you have a beautiful weekend also! Happy Springs :)
@@hopescape6697 Happy Spring! When mom passed away last Spring and am living alone, I decided to start writing poetry. Granted this was the first time I ever took up poetry. But as an artist I can visualize things first before putting it down on paper. See what you folks think? “What I love about Spring.” By D. Chow I love the freshness of the morning air as I take my early morning walk and the smell of fragrant flowers as they open their petals to greet the morning sun. I love the sound of chirping song birds as they sing to the Sun as it’s beginning its climb to a new day. I love the sound of a babbling brook near by as it races down the hill to the open steam of melted winter snow. But most of all, I love Spring as it renewed our life energy as we started a new year.
