Love this! Been wanting to build a custom hauler for years. I recently got back into the hobby after dropping out for a good while. Starting over now and I've already built a few custom fabricated rigs. Next on my list is a "ramp bed truck"/"wedge truck" and a roll back. With that being said, what did you use for the frame rails/chassis? Thanks in advance...
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-toFOV9fYipM.html This is the link to a detail video. It is still a prototype, but it worked good enough for me so I didn't want to take it apart. So there is still a lot of wood in the construction. But.... it works😁
in the midst of this same build type (roll back flatbed). how did you get the bed to roll and tilt? Ive got my bed 90% fabricated and am currentl stuck on how to efficiently have the bed roll and til as yours
The bed runs in a 2nd frame that is bent down behind the main frame. The guiding pulleys, that run in the 2nd frame, are in the middle and front of the bed, in the rear are supporting pulleys to carry the load while driving. The bed is driven by a 2-way winch. Hope that helps you.
