This lesson was what I needed. I have been playing guitar for 17 years and have always approached soloing with pentatonic scale boxes for the song key and was stuck in pentatonic scale purgatory. Finding those arpeggios for the chords for leads is great and has me playing different modes w/o realizing it and if I saw myself months ago playing this lick I wrote after watching this video I woulda creamed. Funny thing is I remember watching this video when I was like 15 and probably just moved on cause there were no tabs lol.
lol no tabs, gotta move on.. honestly you wouldve come to realization that you have to understand music to play it, now youre older you got the patience to learn it
Most of you here wonder about the b note in Dminor chord Look guys ,I am not an expert but i explain this way B is the 6th note in the melodic minor scale, while playing over a Dminor chord,if you hit the B you are playing temporarily a melodic minor scale, which will sound a bit different, but beautiful
This was 30 years ago..I wish this was available back then. Marty Friedman is the only guitar player that sounds like Marty Friedman..Amazing Holyfield
Miles did amazing things for the music , but changing the bridge of this tune (Miles' one eventually became the more "standarized") is not one of those
Absolutely Marvellous !. Doesn’t Get Any Better. But !, Have To Say I Prefer The “Original Middle Eight”. More Musically Satisfying. Puzzles Me Why The Stars, Played This.
