Hi! My name is Eddie White. I have two certificate of achievements in Video Editing (one from each school). Video Editing is what I am most proficient at and I do love to do videography as a hobby, too. I have my own BMPCC4K Camera that I'm in the process of rigging up for future shoots. Also, when I get bored, I tend to edit some music or songs as either remixes, mashups, edits, quality enhancements, and many others like it. I can also use these skills for audio in general, including SFX, which I find useful for what I am interested in. For music, I listen to dubstep in a leisurely way because I think of it to be unique and I just love its style and how it stands out from other genres to me. On certain occasions, I listen to or mix meme music, too.
Basically I just video and audio edit either for the fun of it or professionally. I find that it's good to balance fun and professionalism for best chances of getting things done.
Thank you everyone for your feedback! I found out my EQ settings were all out of whack, for example, the bass frequencies being almost absent. This was due to a preset issue, I don't want to go into details, but I have found the issue for it. This is also why I added an "EQ curve" to make changes to something that was barley even present. The higher frequencies seemed fine, but now it will be even better for achieving greater results. Regardless, I will use this video to further improve myself now that I narrowed down on the problem. Thanks for watching!
@@bootyprogram Lmao, if it was that simple, everybody would be doing it. Did you watch the VR stream by chance? The low frequency is muffled to hell. Anyone with ears could tell the treble has at least been improved. If you want to know about how EQs work, seems like you don't, maybe I can help you out.
@bootyprogram Looks like there is a newer live rip of spitfire. A month ago, when I mastered this, it was from the EDC Las Vegas rip. The newer stream from "Rampage" concert is a much cleaner rip. Perhaps if you weren't rude about it, I would have gladly accepted responsibility over my master. Just a thought.
Haha yeah. I've used Audacity for years and was transitioning into Audition, but when I found out Audacity had third party VST plugin support, I realized that was a HUGE game changer with Audacity. Possibilities are almost endless now! Also, thanks for you comment!
Yeah, that does visually look excessive! 😅 When I was was fixing the unbearablely muffled VR set rip, I unintentionally took away the most of the low freq with it as I was primarily focusing on higher freq. So, that curve was my quick fix for now. Next time, the audio file will be more polished. 😊
I will admit, Skrillex's sub bass has recently been heavily saturated. Not a bad thing honestly, I really love Skrillex's work. I sometimes have a hard time replicating his newer basslines without completely drowning out every other frequency in the spectrum. In other words, doing this could make the track sound muddy. Regardless, I will take your advice and improve for my next upload.
Amazing job mastering it from a set rip! I've done the same and also used Audacity. This is not so hard, but it takes a trained ear to mix the mids and bass, tbh.
Definitely! Most of the EQ tricks I taught myself in a addition to a few pointers from a friend who used to play music. I looked for speakers that don't heavily saturate any frequency whatsoever (almost flat) and work from there. Working with more than one speakers is best for optimal listening because not all speakers are created equal, no matter how "flat" they say they are. For example, I wear headphones that particularly focus on mid-high frequencies and a different pair of speakers with for analyzing lower-end performance. Next thing, with audacity latest updates, you can now add vst plugins which is a HUGE step for creators. I find fabfilter pro to be really good at EQing. It costs money, but when I started the 30 day free trial, it really made me fall in love with it! Anyway, thanks for your feedback!
i can't see this getting you in trouble at all. it's not like this is the actual track, it's just a really good cleanup of a setrip. please upload it somewhere!
Yeah this is one of my very early edits way back when. I have a large library of all star remixes I made but never really released. What do you think could be improved from this remix? I'm thinking of one area the vocals are off by a beat, but you might have an idea I'm not thinking of. When I'm back at my house, I can link you a WAV file of this song if you'd like 👍
I agree, Skrillex definitely went all out on this one! That is, before his transition into newer genres. Took me some time to figure out vocal chopping techniques, which turned out nicely. Thanks for you comment! 😁
Coming soon! I have to work on various EQs and effects to make it the best it can be. In the mean time, you can download my older edit of Voltage if you'd like here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LJKejOiyc2s.html
I had the craziest idea late at night that the Voltage drums are used in one of Skrillex's unreleased remixes "all i ask of you". They sound extremely similar to me and they are only one bpm apart from each other! Let me know what you guys think!
