I think one thing they could've done to make the console experience more of a fun time, it would be "co-op" development. you know like, "Make games with your friends!" if they're gonna have to have a more casual experience anyway lean into it more!
I've been watching these videos and applying them to a test game showing all the cool stuff I learned before I dive into making a full fledged RPG however I can't seem to figure out how to send the game to friends so they can stream their play through discord and I can gather data. Any help on this??

Interesting! So Common event is like a Function in C++ where rather typing down the same three lines of code, I can shorten it by simplying calling the function.
If I want a main quest to be completed before the player can leave the area. For example the quest is in a town on one map, while the area the player can't leave yet is on a different map. How would i go about that with switches, does it have to do with region IDs?
You never truly appreciate the ~30 years of iterative improvements made by industry veterans, like Nintendo, until you need to sit down and make your own camera system. There's a lot of fine details that work intuitively, but that are also hard to attach logic & numbers to (like that "10% forward" thing).

awesome dude! however,...I'm attempting to show 3 pics as part of a small cut scene, to scroll horizontally across screen. But couple problems here!! Problem 1:each screenshot pic of area on map to show is blending in to much with overlay map, they are same colors, design, etc. / Problem 2: They won't scroll sideways from right to left coming onto screen from right and going off screen to left. almost like a cutscene slide show effect thing.
I am going step by step into this tutorial to learn all the basics but I'm struggling with variables. I just need an NPC to stop giving away free weapons and change dialouge using this method and it's not working, will either go through both branches of dialouge. Chat GPT isn't helping me either :(
Instead of making hundreds of separate editors, scripts, mods, sprites, Tile Sets etc. etc. etc. why doesn't somebody (You) make all this shit work together as a new RPG engine! Then you'd be wealthy an could give me some, money $$ yeah!
I cannot believe I'm asking this after already 6 years of using RPG Maker, but...I am actually stupidly stuck, on how to self switch between "A","B","C","D" then revert back from "D" to "A" starting the loop over again!? Please help!
