@denniseggers I'm with you. Especially when RIchard plays the lick in 'Heaven Sent' I always have to laugh. It's such a fantastic musician. That there may be many albums to come in the future. And all the best to Chris. Gary Nichols is a perfect successor for him.
I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THE STEELDRIVERS!!!!....with Stapleton that is....haven't found a track or video with Gary Nichols on it that I like yet....tryin to give him a chance though because the body of music this band has created is FANTASTIC.....Stapleton? Do you watch these ever? COME BACK! Keep Jompon Bros. as a side project.... I for one would easily pay $100 to see Steeldrivers w/Stapleton just for a full set. Money motivates, right?
@Brotherman65 when did Chris quit? He's one hell of a writer too...loved the stuff that he and Henderson did together. Richard Bailey is still my favorite though...as a person and a picker...you just have to smile whenever he's around.
I discovered these guys when their CD came out a couple years ago, and I loved it then, and I love it now. I can't wait for their next one to come out, because I've run the grooves smooth on their first one.
Apart from the obvious reasons, I like them because they have fun on the stage. How many bands do you see with zero sense of humour and a fraction of these people's talent...? I love these guys. When are they gonna come to Ireland?!
