I am a 2nd generation Star wars fan. Honestly it's a sci-fi fantasy that had so much potential and more of expands, the more it has to be explained. The story got longer. It's the kinds series that isn't actually about the original main characters anymore. It's just about the Star wars universe and the people in it
We thought George selling might be good. THAT didn’t age well. At least the fans got us that 4k version we wanted. I think as production tools mature there is some chance that anybody that wants to will be able to produce high quality Star Wars content that even the lawyers won’t be able to fight. Then the owners and their view of what is canon will be MEANINGLESS.
1977 was 12, we walked to the theater to watch the first Star Wars - Iconic, mind blowing, NOTHING was like it - watched that first one 100 times, like a religion the Force the light saber was everything - we waited 4yrs for the next one and 4yrs for the one after that when 1,2,3 came out, it started to be odd for me - then the rest; well some of the shows now, not bad, but they did Luke wrong - not even watching the new one Witches of whatever, its the Force not Gods, or Witches leave that to Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter this is Star Wars
