Ive Machined the Spindlerholder in my own

Hi, ive machined two Times milling steel and it works really fine die to the high torque servo for my spindle. I will change my spindledervo from 3kw 2500rpm to a 1kw 6000rpm servo. With my gear ratio i will receive 10k rpm on the spindle. The 10k rmp are better for machining aluminium, and im normalen working with aluminium - so i think this will be a good upgrade for me. I have also to change my spindle bearings for the new servo. Im thinking about a small 5 - 6 place atc rack. But this more for a future Update. Actually i have 4000rpm spindlespeed and Rapids of 5000mm/min on X and Y and Rapids of 4000mm/min on the Z-Axis. Changes? I think i would use AC servos with 400W on XYZ instead of CL Stepper. And otherwise im really happy with my machine.

Hi, der Vorteil liegt schon in der Steifigkeit. Die Führungen sind auf der gesamten Länge der Z Achse verschraubt, wenn man nur die Wagen an der Z achse hat dann fehlt ein Formschluss. Zudem ist es sorum besser da man mehr verfahrweg hat als umgekehrt

Hi, thanks for your comment. I will use linuxcnc for control the machine and a mesa card as the Controller. For the probe i will make a Video in the near future with Details

For sandblasting you need more equipment. A compressor and a sandblasting Box. For me and my small Shop the less equipment is better. But Overall i like more the stonewash surface instead of the sandblast surface. I thinkt its more to what surface you want. Stondewash, sandblast, glasblast or also ceramicblast. Everyone gives you a different surface.

@@____________________ok the surface is different. Sometimes i want a stonewashed surface. Since last week i also have a small sandblasting Box. It works really good, bit for some parts i will still use stonewashing

Thanks for your comment. I will try on the next ones to have a better Balance between the background music and the vice over. The spindle can handle 6000rpm but the servo is only run on 4000rpm. But i planned to upgrade the spindlebearings and the servo to be able to have 8000rpm.

nice build, music is kind of distracting, had to turn off sound and read sub titles.....ha

Thanks a lot. The machine is approx 1000 x 1000 x 2000 mm and weights approx 800kgs. The working area is 570 x 390 x 200 mm but in the future there will be an update for the xy carrier and the z axis so it will be 600 x 400 x 200 mm. There are some drawings, but not really final for publishing. When there is interest i can work on get the drawings ready.
