Great to see a video and doing well. Honestly I never thought about doing that with old no longer white worn out shirts, they just ended up as rags. Thank you for that tip.
I completely stopped making videos for my RU-vid channel as of January 15th 2024. I let my software subscriptions expire. I am currently working on my 5th book so I keep kind of busy.
Hey, I know this is off topic but I wanted to hear what you think of the 4 cell ALICE ammo pouches? I first heard of them about a year ago but I just recently got my hands on a set. As for not being in the mood to make videos, I won't blame you. I've felt that.
@@renaissancemarinetv3536 it only makes sense that it would I think I have fishing line and my yard is perfect for it so today you know what I will be going ! Thanks again !
I'm looking for 1/4 mile max range, just from edge to edge of the HOA for things like sprinkler system adjustment or tree maintenance, without having to keep an conference call open line on several cell phones. These should do fine.
You could sew more molle webbing to the sides where you said you would like to have more molle . Ive done this to other packs i have and it makes it mkre versatile for more pouches , gear. Really enjoyed this video . Thank you for making this
I’m excited to deploy a Molle II Large Ruck as a game pack. The medium Alice and the Gen One pack you’re using just don’t have enough depth to stick a full deer / pronghorn quarter in. It is in the dreaded UCP pattern, but I’m hunting sage / pinion pine country, so it’s okay for my area. The Sustainment pouch will also attach to the sides of the Alice Pack using the side Alice Webbing that are on that pack. If anyone cares the Molle II grenade pouches have the capacity for precisely two cans of Copenhagen. Also, the waist pack will hold a ranger roll. I used to believe it held precisely one poncho liner, but I saw another RU-vid video where it was demonstrated that a ranger roll fits.
Actually those two bar tacks ARE what holds the elastic in place. What I've discovered, after doing this with several pairs of pants is that the cord's sleeve material at the end can get caught in the seam just behind where the cord was sown in. So even though all the bar-tack threads have been cut and the cord is then "free", the cord is still caught in there just by its sleeve. At that point you pull really hard on the cord and it'll pop loose and come out. HTH
I obtained the buttpack yesterday at a army surplus warehouse while on vacation for $9 and I was wondering a few things about it such as the buckle and D ring combination. It's nice to know now what system this went with. I had an idea it probably went with the IIFS system they were working with. The system between the ALICE and MOLLE. It reminded me a lot of my CFP90 Ruck. Mine had the internal bag cut out like my Vietnam era buttpack. It's a great pack for my EDC. As for the vest, I vaguely remember seeing these when I was a teen in the 2000s. I saw them a lot later on in surplus shops when MOLLE was first introduced. I don't care much for it as well. I can see what they were going for, but being able to remove and add pouches for certain mission sets makes a difference, not to mention there is a level of comfort. It's a cool looking piece of kit, but definitely not the best either.
These Westinghouse generators are really good generators I had last year the I gen 2200 c and really liked it it was super quiet and also very fuel efficient I wish I hadn't sold it but I plan on getting one to replace it ASAP I'm thinking about going with the 2500 this time there is another model that has the 30 amp RV plug which would come in handy play otherwise it would be identical to this one but I'm definitely sold on the brand and good review 🙂
The weakest point on almost all large backpacks is the shoulder straps. They make them too narrow and the padding is too soft. If they would make them as wide as the large molle 2 and a little firmer they would carry so much better.
My youngest boy gave me one he brought back from Afghanistan. It’s a handy little bag for sure. I keep my shelter/sleeping kit in it; a poncho and poncho liner, a basha, and a 10’X10’ tarp. Along with six stakes and 100 +/- feet of paracord.
These are the best of this type of gear. I don't know why more people don't use them. Im guessing it's because there airforce gear and not tier 1 equipment. There built like a tank you can open the front when prone or for air. Mine is set up with all ABU pouches and works fine were i live. Although the colors as the same as the ACU the tigerstipe patern makes it a much better camouflage. I also have the airforce ABU padded war belt with the ABU pouches.
