Found on a crate dig and i had no idea what it was. But just on the title i couldn`t leave it behind. Didn`t know what to expect, It is utterly bonkers
@@DJDanceClassic Yeah I did. And her brother who is also playing guitar on that 7", Kevin Armstrong, has worked with Bowie, Iggy Pop. Thomas Dolby, Sinéad O'Connor, Morrissey etc. Actually. Kevin was the guitarist with Bowie at Live aid in 1985
The difference between this and the original version reminds me of what Andy Partridge brought to the tracks he did for Blur. Right down to the way he had the keyboards stand out on the pre chorus of Coping
perhaps one of the finest examples of what our narrator used to do to entertain the rich and famous back when the love was running high.....feedum from inside the can. this is good
the lyrics "there's so much I care about, so much that I love" paired with that insane riff at the start for some reason make me really emotional every time I hear them
Haven't heard this in a long long time! My older brother left a bunch of Bloom books when he moved away (he's '73, I'm '86) so I grew up reading them. He left the record in the book too, and I totally ripped that sucker out and played it ..a lot. I just looked on eBay, with price filtered to highest first, but i couldn't find a copy with the record in it.. I don't regret un-collectableing it though!
Had this on cassette back in the 80s and couldn't tell you the number of times I listened to it, absolute classic, but I'd better clean it up, I don't want to leave any clues! Thanks for posting this, have wanted to hear it again for years.
So I bought the CD version off eBay and this song has some differences from the vinyl version that you posted. I just thought it was interesting and wanted to share.
Words we've spoken are all around , they're floating in the air. Words we've spoken are all around , they're flying past my window. Words we've spoken are everywhere , they're swimming in the grass somewhere. Words we've spoke are all around , they're dancing up and down on the lawn. Words we've spoken are walking down the street some people are stepping on them. And they're folded in a paper on the chair, And they're lying on my dresser over there. And they're talking to each other right now, And they're swimming in my stomach somewhere , And they're floating all around my hair. And we're weaving in and out of them. And we're breathing right into them. And we're living right through them.
Lovely. I had never heard of them as i was mainly there to see Anarchistwood . Tiss Vampiric won me over very quickly. A beautiful cabaret mix of Kurt Weill & Bertolt Brecht, The Birthday Party, Alex Harvey. Dream City Film Club and Screaming Lord Sutch. Loved them..
