I know this video is older, but I just wanted to say that I hope you know how lovely your voice is to my ear. I live in Canada and have what some would consider a distinct regional accent. To my ear, you sound very different and I really really like it. Also, I love your bunnies and your carding machine 😊❤
Thanks so much for your very soothing, relaxing video and informative. Im new to this and I cant wait to do this in the cold winter months in Alaska. Love your relaxed teaching style. And you have a lovely home and pets.
So very thankful I came across this video. You did a wonderful job showing how it's all done! Is there a link for the big drum card and your nice spinning wheel? Do you have any recommendations for someone who has never had rabbits but would love to get started making and selling angora wool? Thanks again!
We need best and most non violent and non killing Is to comb their fur when they need to shed With love 💕not pull their fur I need my own angora so I don’t suspect on others
Please wear face mask maam. I love gentle they are towards the angoras. I saw a post that is protesting against big companies hurting the angoras by pulling their furs painfully. These is so good to see, little artisans take good care of their angoras.
Ohhh I see this in my future! I raise commercial type rabbits but I’d love to be able to sell spun wool. Also have my best friend make me all kinds of goodies. 🎉
Hello Lisa, Thank you for this very instructive video. Could you please tell me the ppi of your carder cloth you use for this? Very nice to see your rabbit chill on the table. Nice video. Tilia
I am not sure of the numbers, but it is a fine carder. Wich means it has the most pins of any carder. The highest number that you can get. I also have a corse carder that I use for sheep wool. It has less pins, ppi
I love this. 😍❤️🤗🤗 I think the poodle idea is wonderful! It would also give the angora a lot of bounce in the final spun product. Also, I love the kromski fantasias. They're super cute. :) I love that Tiger is like a cat and is determined to knock everything off the table 😂
This is soooo helpful! I have just been cutting our angoras hair before it gets too long, but I’ve been looking into saving it and spinning it. Our spoiled babies are about to start making wool! 😍 Thank you.
I've always thought a community of homestead farms would be beneficial for all, sustaining and supporting one another, and doing things organically, cruelty free..only I don't like to dispatch any animals although I like to eat some meat regularly..
Yes, you have a great idea. Lots of communities have tried this. I think selfishness keeps it from working long term. We are all selfish by nature. But I would hope that as we get older, we could mature and put others first. I am 60 now and I work hard at putting others first. I don't always succeed, but I try.
Thank you. You wouldn't believe all the things that I do. I also hand quilt other people's quilt tops for them. I make scrap quilts, t-shirt quilts and all my clothes. I grow and can our veggies. Eat ect.
Thank you. No I am not selling. I make scarfes, hats, quilts extra. For people and I hand quilt other people's quilts for them. I stay way to busy! Lol
