A superbly musical interpretation, beautifully executed...But what's he wearing?! Why this ridiculously depressing, insultingly casual all-black pajama-like outfit?! How inappropriate!
Serge Krylov is a remarkable violinist. A very individual performance with brilliant virtuosity and much warmth and color for this great masterpiece.. Eric Shumsky 16:45
I really like this performance. Sergej really plays superbly, and he managed to create new colors that I haven't heard in other performances before. You can see that he really understands the music of Prokofiev.
Alive and intense - the high bow speeds are used to great advantage. A full and varied tone, great pressure release on double stops and the more ethereal high passage work, sharp pizzicato articulation. Excellent playing. This deserved a much fuller concert hall.
