Nice and helpful tutorial. I chose two photos from last autumn and worked on them. The results were really good. For LUTs I applied two of your autumn LUTs from the autumn package that I bought last year.
Hi guys, I've been using Luminar for awhile now... But struggling to able to sync my photos and catalog between two computers. My subscription with neo allows the use of two computers... I have a macbook pro M2 and a Windows 11 PC... I have several cloud services available. Including QNAP Ts251d, Google Dive, Icedrive and onedrive, all with plenty of ample space... Is there anyway to sync the catalog on two different machine... For egzample I would like to start editing on my home windows pc, and then able to carry on when I'm on the move with my macbook? I have scoured the Web as well as RU-vid video, but can't seem to see it. Also I use Mylio for my photo management.
Hi, I am afraid that at this moment there isn't a way to sync the edits between two computers in a way you describing. Each catalog created is an individual object and they do not talk to each other. You could transfer the catalog (no as simple), but you would have to do it each time you want to move the edit of the photo.
At the beginning, the Studio Light Tool seemed to me a bit unwieldy... but as your video progressed it all made sense... now it's one of my favorite tools (I use it especially in my B&W pix). Thanks for sharing!
There's one small thing I'd really like to see Skylum change: it's the functionality of the eye icon in each of the edited tool's panel. Instead of click and hold to see the "before and after" effect, it would be nice to make the eye icon "sticky" like that in the Photoshop layers panel, i.e. click to turn off and click to turn on. I think being able to toggle the tool effect off/on is more useful than to reset the effect.
Please add lens profiles. I use LUMINAR HDR for all my real estate photos. However the optics and transform don't do a good job. I use a Canon RF 15-30 mm lens on a Canon RP. The HDR photos are amazing, specially lighted windows. Highlights are minimal. Just the distortion still an issue with LUMINAR. Please help
First of all, thanks for this video. After years of working with Lightroom now I own Luminar Neo. Luminar Neo is a good product, but it really lacks some important features: 1) There's no way to create an alternative version of an image. You start from a RAW file and then apply two different settings to get two distinct images (for instance, one in black and white and the other with colours) to do this in Luminar Neo you have to duplicate the RAW wasting a lot of disk space. 2) The export tool is really really really too basic... For a photographer, it is one of the most important functions. Is there any chance to inform Luminar Neo developers regarding these wished functionalities?
I have never been able to stitch a Spherical Panorama in Luminar Neo firstly it wont stich correctly unless I select cylindrical during the process, and the most frustrating part is while I can change the sky in NEO when I view the panorama in Kuula or any preview software there is a massive stitch line. Even when the panorama is constructed within Luminar neo.
I must admit I am looking forward to this upgrade, I am finding Neo is becoming a must have if you enjoy photography. However, I would have thought some professional photographers are going to be a bit annoyed when they find their 'unique' look to their photos is now being utilised by amateur photographers with the 'Colour Transfer AI' tool.
Hi, the auto-correction tools you mentioned are only available in the Develop RAW tool, which is designed for RAW development and only works with RAW files.
I like the falling leaves and the leaf pointer in your introductory slide! I can always count on you to explain what's new in a clear manner that I can understand (even though I attended the Affiliate meeting I needed to watch this - getting senile😄). As a Neo-only user, if the Catalog could hold a lifetime of images I'd be more excited about those upcoming features. I've been doing single image edits for 2024 to save on Catalog size so tagging and sorting won't be something I'd use as I have resorted to tagging them in Mac Finder and using that as my DAM. Anywhoooo, that's for another topic of discussion. No matter what, I'll always love Luminar. Thanks for the video!
Finally, hopefully, some overdue enhancements to the catalog. I've been using Luminar since it's first version and the catalog's lack of functions was the one reason I almost left. Good news.
Finally we get the catalogue features we have been waiting for. I have been waiting for the ordering feature since luminar 3. I was very close to going back to LR because the catalog was so bad. Anyway I am really excited for those new features.
@@mrrolandlawrence unfortunately, I haven't heard any news on that front. Although that doesn't always mean that its not happening... Just haven't heard about it.
There is hardly anyone using them. They are formats only the nerds know about. I am a digital photographer for 10 years now and I only heard about webp a week ago.
@@RalfTenbrink Webp has been around for over 10 years and HEIF is apples version and are baked in across all their product ranges. iPhones are quite popular. Even nikon / canon / fuji allow to shoot in HEIF instead of JPG which at 8 bit is quite frankly inadequate these days
At first glance it looks impressive but checking the comments above someone implied it does not do RAW, yet I shoot ProRaw all the time, I don’t want to shoot JPEGS. Secondly I don’t replace skies, I use Luminance mask to adjust and get detail, light etc. Luminar mobile seems unable to do this or am i mistaken? Thanks for sharing.
