If you really want to see what Brattleboro is like avoid this waste-of-time journey unlrss you are only interested in back roads that show nothing about the heart of this city!

I was born and raised in this area and this video made me feel so nostalgic and homesick. I still remember every building, every intersection, and it was immensely satisfying to see them here all over again, like so many years ago. There's truly no place like home. LOL, no tanks here-just my trusty vehicle! 😆 And as for the town, it's definitely not under siege, just embracing that ghost town vibe. Maybe I should apply for mayor! 🤣
I grew up in Winsted and when I was in High School I'd drive up to through Canaan and into the Sheffield area just for fun. Just drive up, get some cheap gas, and head back home.
30 odd years ago my grandparents lived in York. My dad would drive us down from Connecticut and meet them half way for the exchange. Good times. My grandpa was a minister at a half way house and they had an apartment on the top floor of one of the buildings. I miss him.

Absolutely! Newport and Block Island make a perfect combo for a getaway. The mansions are so impressive, and Block Island is a beautiful escape. Sounds like a great plan!
