I have 3 pairs all in crown glass the oldest is 8 years old a bit scratched up but those are my work sunnies as a bricklayer its a harsh environment for sunnies but they held up well considering the abuse and dodgy cleaning practices i use to wipe cement off them. Value for money is second to none that im aware of
Love this. ru-vid.comUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend Got it a couple weeks ago hated having to wait almost 2 weeks to get it out fishing. This pole is one of our new catfish poles. It stood up quite well today. It casts great. It reels smoothly. The pole is easily collapsible. friend ended up catching only one fish because we didn't have too long to fish, and he reeled it in easily. Good buy. Hubby is happy so I am happy! Looking forward to warmer temps so we can spend more time playing with it!
I am not sure what brand of line the boys had on that day, but most of the popular brands offer multi-coloured lines, CAST, Dog Tooth and Daiwa J-Braid to name a few. #8X for jigging and 8X to 12X for casting. If you need to cast distances, as shore-based angler often do, it is recommended to buy a #12X braid. It has a higher suppleness and smoother surface allowing for longer, trouble free casting and maximum performance.
Call in to your local Tackle World shop and browse the selection they have of 13 foot rods. Talk to the friendly staff, they can order in the exact model you want. All the best with your fishing!
Thats nice how to tie a weight to the end of your line, but should the bait/hook/lure be at the end of the line? How do you attach that stuff on with no more line st the end?
Hi Unleash the Fury. A lot of rigs have the sinker at the end of the line, Paternoster Rigs in particular. If you wish to have the bait at the end of your line try an Instinct Pro Slider Rig that allows you to have a running sinker that is easy to change. All the best, Tackle World.
Love watching you fish Paul,,,, coz I can't catch fish lol,,,, even love the way your beautiful wife n son catch lots,,,, fishing, a great family sport
That beautiful reel suits many applications and a lot of rods! Fishing from the beach, the rocks and from a boat offshore. Jigging, spinning, bait fishing and trolling - and no one rod can cover all of that! Pop in to your local Tackle World and tell them what type of fishing you do most and what type of fishing you'd like to do next. They can then match you up with a rod or rods to make the most out of your Slammer. All the best News Tecno
Would like to know why they were discontinued? I got my 3000 off ebay whhen they first came out and it has always had this annoying knock in it when reeling slowly. Was this a common problem with this model?
Sorry for the late reply KBKYAL. No, this was not a common problem. I suggest you take the reel in to your local Tackle World store and see if they can help you, or they will send it to Daiwa. Hope this helps.
Hi hi just wanted an opinion for an ideal size, I'm based down in Tassie and I essentially want a slammer 4 dx reel to handle our tuna trolling or casting as well as casting for our rat kingies from shore/kayak. Any help would be appreciated cheers!
Hi MainTrain. The very best advice is going to come from Tackle World Burnie who fish for the same fish as you and in the same conditions. When you contact them, let them know the rod you are using so that the reel will balance. Both casting and trolling rods. Hi Ahmed. Dave was using a lure called TWIST by Arma Lures. They are a great casting lure too, and are available in weights from 5 grams up to 90 grams. The action and flash of these lures makes them very productive offshore, inshore and even in freshwater.
I purchased one as a workhorse kitchen knife, I've never seen a knife that dull fresh out of the packet! I checked everything to see if it a fake.... it all looks legit. I want to see what F.dick thinks 🤔 I was struggling to cut a fresh cucumber....
